Keep the flat iron under 400 and you'll be fine. Hair starts to melt at 410
For any Americans out there, brave enough for this, here's what the net says:
"Hair burns at the same temperature as paper: 451°F. And really, anything over 420°F is a bad idea. At that point, the keratin protein in your hair starts to melt and no amount of deep-conditioning will help. Thankfully, there's a temp that's just right: 365°F"

I love the fact that you gradually trim this client’s hair. Most stylists just like to chop off inches during one visit. This video just shows everyone how good of a stylist you are.

I wear my hair with its kinky shrinkage more so you can't tell if I've had one inch or two cut off. Lol! #4chair. I'm going to see him every 6 weeks as a compromise for both of us. Lol!

@@bonin8904 of course it is lol but speaking from someone who has fine hair. Getting a corrective cut makes my hair appear thicker and can hold a feather/curl. Her hair is also colored too so maybe that might be a reason it broke off some

I haven’t put heat to my natural 4c hair in years ! I always wanted to try a silk press but I’m nervous ..
Apart from that you deserved a sub and like from me ♥️♥️
Another tip sis...DO NOT apply more heat, on top of that same silk press....always wash and start over again. You just have to be diligent in finding ways to keep your hair from coiling back up toward the scalp.

I want to do this but I'm so scared to damage my hair. My hair is finally healthy after years of bleaching, and the last time I straightened my hair in 2017 it ended up breaking my hair. Now I'm so scare to straighten it. But this looks so lovely!

so my nape area looks identical to hers,every year it will grow break off so I have my husband to shave it low as he can and start over this is every year,I am 57,so I am trying something different this time less stress and use wild growth hair oil as instructions along with biotin,and keeping it covered so my hands out be back there,the rest of my hair is super thick and coarse shoulder length, sorry for the long text any suggestions? thanks
That’s a perfect regimen. Try to apply the oil at least twice a week. Also take pictures so you can see the growth difference as well. Drink “plenty” of water and make sure that your nutrition is in good standing as well. Hope this helps 😊❤️

I've got 4c hair (most likely 4f 😒). I think it needs to be trimmed but all I see are trims/cuts on silk pressed hair. Do you (or anyone reading this) have any videos or tips on how to trim my hair without doing a silk press?
I moisturize my hair and put them in mini twists and trim the thin ends that way

You can do a Blowdry and trim. I recommend getting it trimmed by a professional. But of course the best trimming results will be on straight hair, but if you don’t straighten your hair often, you can do it in blow out state. I recommend blow out, or straightened hair for tightly coiled hair because those curls “love” staying together and you can risk the chance of having unevenness when trimmed in curly state, in my person opinion.

Any products you can suggest to keep the hair to hold the press I guess in humid weather?
You can use serum, try not to use any products with water or any type of moisture in it. Wrapping your hair each night is one of the best ways to keep up. If it gets frizzy wrap your hair, put some serum on it and tie it down. Or you can use the jumbo( grey or purple) flexi rods to roll it; put serum on your hair and tie it down to shake it back. Hope this helps 😊

How do you make the silk press last by the time I'm done my hair has already started to revert back
Make sure you have a good Blowdry, make sure the scalp is completely dry and make sure your flatiron temp is hot enough
@@KrissypooHairView thank u but I did it was a brand new blowdryer and a brand new flat iron I bought it specifically for doing a silk press and my hair was dry but it still reverts I feel like I'm missing something because I can never keep my hair straight unless I have like a fan on me but after that it's not even a hour I have to do something to my hair cuz it reverts back and puffs out maybe silk presses aren't for me

I prefer that one over the nano for tighter textured hair but looser texture like 4a on down I can do the nano. I like the nano for its dual purpose
