Little welding tips! Keep the heat slightly low, and keep a continuous flow all the way around your seam. Moving at a medium rate of speed, using a backward and foward motion. This is one of the few methods that can be used to "stack dimes"! Which in my opinion, and others I'm sure. Look absolutely amazing.
Just a tip when you weld, dont go back and forth like that, rather go up and down between the pieces if you are going to walk the weld bead. or small circular motions also works with the MIG/MAG and you are a bit to fast, rather lower the feed rate and voltage :)
Exactly. Wire speed too high AND amperage too low. No penetration. Also should have held it horizontally in the vice. So much easier to weld on a horizontal surface than a vertical surface

Cleeter, as a 145lb guy that has installed large diesel cams, an adjustable on the bolts and a socket with an extension butted to the adjustable give supreme leverage for sticking cams in. Leverage is the key!

The turbo kit is tilted forward so that when she squats the turbo is level see. Then you get all the boost. Oh and the nose of the car is like ram air and you get more still! Lmao good job bud. Looks nice!
Yes! Many welders hate vertical down, but when mig welding it is great for thin material and when the weld isn't on a critical structural part. The beads are fast, easy, and look great. Tig is easiest in the flat position. Cletus should have welded the steel turbo mount with tig since steel is more forgiving. It is good practice since aluminum is much more temperamental.

Hey Cleetus a welding tip from down under When welding thin material turn the weld to the vertical position, and weld down hill, you'll get longer weld and wont burn through thin material
You should always practice before doing welding unless you do it everyday. Its a skill you just gotta keep doing. Helps me to think about the center of the melted metal just to calculate where is my heat is. I haven’t welded in a really long time as well.
They are BOTH a LOT lighter than I expected! 5 minutes with a guy who actually knows how to weld is worth days of trying on your own - great feedback from the chap!
I agree with everyone who’s talking suspension and a slip clutch, better shocks and rebound rate in the rear to keep it from bouncing and just get the car tracking straighter, it honestly looks like you’re fighting down the track trying to stay in the groove.

That is a great idea! Jeremy and Cletus could work it out. They might be able to cut in a doorway from their parts/porting room to the other suite (I used to do lots of that sort of work on commercial suites). The exhaust could be an issue on some vehicles as well and separating the work area from dyno would help (the galaxy is the worst one I have seen on the videos).

Many things on Leroy can be switched to carbon fiber, like the dash, any metal or plastic panels of any sort, etc. Metal panels that maybe can’t be switched to carbon fiber could be switched to titanium or aluminum from steel. You can swap out the steel bolts that don’t need to stay steel to titanium, and in cases where little to no pressure is applied, aluminum. You can use lightweight lug nuts. I do RC racing, and weight reduction is super important in that.

Many things on Leroy can be switched to carbon fiber, like the dash, any metal or plastic panels of any sort, etc. Metal panels that maybe can’t be switched to carbon fiber could be switched to titanium or aluminum from steel. You can swap out the steel bolts that don’t need to stay steel to titanium, and in cases where little to no pressure is applied, aluminum. You can use lightweight lug nuts. I do RC racing, and weight reduction is super important in that.
