A volcano Emmental bread recipe (Swiss cheese volcano bread). This bread has a crispy, chewy crust and an open, soft crumb. As this bread bakes it erupts with cheese and when sliced open it is studded with pockets of nutty Emmental. The best part about this unique loaf is the chunks of Emmental (Swiss cheese) baked right into the bread. It's also no knead. This is one of my favourite breads to eat and is even more delicious when spread with some garlic butter and then sprinkled with a little dried dill.
