One thing I did learn from tales is just how fast a six episode show goes. It got me thinking. We can't possibly tell Rick's story since he been gone and michones story in just six episodes. The other spin offs , good or bad, will go by very fast. After the main how ends we won't have much left but maybe a full season of terrible fear

Can't stand the unrealistic features of this Tales series, it really hurts to watch. Yes, Zombies are "unrealistic", but this is the only technicality I'm willing to look past in a series, all this supernatural shit on top the series feels like it does more damage to the OVERALL brand of the Walking Dead than just the Tales Show. I'm really shocked that it was even greenlighted.
James, if folks don't like your opinion differs from theirs, "F" them! You have just as much a right as they have in voicing their opinion. In terms of "Tales" my fav episodes in order were 4, 3, and 1. You can keep the rest.
I liked the series, but then again I enjoyed The Twilight Zone. If you were expecting "canon" then yes, you will be disappointed. I enjoyed it more than the last 8 episodes of Fear so I would watch a season 2
I completely agree, James. This anthology series just hasn't hit the same. It feels like it has the quality of Fear (at least the later seasons) and all of the attention that couldve been put in this show was put into the main show for the final episodes. They should have waited until after TWD ended for them to do this. The episode with Dee/Alpha is my favorite one because of the reason you listed, it fit into the main show. Everything else just wasnt up to par and didnt line up with the rest of TWDU. To me, I think the problem is that they got very good actors that would normally pour their hearts into their roles and nail it (like Olivia Munn), but the extremely poor writing held them back and made all these characters feel 2 dimensional.
i agree with what you said all of that made sense, i will always refuse to acknowledge episode two, my favourite episodes are the same as yours and as i said before if they want to make wild stories the whole way through it can't be under the same name there needs to be a big separation between the two , either do normal connected stories or do your wild stuff that isn't connected at all
People say none of it is canon - but what about episodes 3 and 4? I feel they needed to go bat crazy like Ep2 with all 6 - why try to get serious in a couple of them?
Maybe the p.r team is to blame, I mean it's their job to promote, and push the series. They didn't explain it, and didn't sell it, so the fans had no idea what was coming.?

Tales should of had one final show airing the night of the final walking dead episode. Both final walking dead episode and season finale of tales could been a hour half each. In the tales finale it should been a three anthology introduction to the main major spin offs. The first part shows the after mat of the Walking dead finale splitting between why Negan and Maggie have to leave for NYC. Intertwined with how Darryl suddenly finds himself in Europe. Mirroring how Rick woke up in the first episode. The final ten or fifteen minutes a goes into what Michonne has been up to finalized with a intro of Rick, Jadis and the CRM. I think it would been epic and would rejuvenate the fan base much like Here's Negan did. What does everyone else think? Is it bit much? Does it make too much sense and since it's AMC we are doomed. Our target we have Scott Gimple keep us all in a loop til the next comic con( I know the other shows will air before that but I'm guessing Rick show won't start til FearFest 2023 on AmC and AMC plus.
Tales could've been so much better. I agree with this entire video. Twd is horror based that should've been this the focus. The main focus in this show was almost none existent. Like a joke without a punchline. How do people like us could get hired to write or pitch ideas??? The people in the comments should be scouted there's so many great ideas
First 3 episodes were good. Focus on Crews again, Whispers origin and do a re-shoot ending of two. Explaining they were walkers. And walkers that are fresh that die together gravitate together in the herds or roam together like the plan to go her nephews. The reactivated brain trys processing things. Before dying and forgetting.
Why though? This is just the first season. They can actually have room to improve and see what things people like and don’t like. There’s more opportunities for backstories. This was just an experimental beginning.
@@nextgenstudios4878 because what got me hooked on The Walking Dead was they took something that was so fictional and made it so realistic and when you have Supernatural and stuff like Purgatory reliving your last moments come on now that s***'s way out there I used to watch a show called Are You Afraid of the Dark on Nickelodeon back in the mid-90s and that's what this show is like or tales of the crypt why couldn't they just tell some kind of grounded stories why did they have to go the Paranormal route
Episode 2 had a chance to be one the best stories overall if it ended showing us the audience and other characters in the show see both of them as walkers. Explaining fresh walkers still have memories, abilities, goals and can communicate with people. Especially PEOPLE THEY WERE WITH IN THEIR LIFE. Friends,family coworkers and even people that got on your nerves. Their brain just died and it is still trying to rationalize things subconsciously. But the ego part of the brain is dead. Also these walkers aren't strapped down like Milton's walker in season 3 or Jenner's in season 1. It fits in with Morgan's wife going home,the girl with the doll,the guy on the bus,the climbing walker,the one with brick and the walkers at church in season 2. Walkers who see people they know could very well gravitate together in the herds. Just like Gina suggesting let's go to your nephew's. THEY STOOD UP ALL BEATEN UP..PERFECT MOMENT TO HAVE WALKER MAKE UP BUT SHOWING US THEY ARE COMMUNICATING. Eugene theorized about that before they realized the whispers formed. The reactivated brain trys processing things. Before decaying and death fully taking over. It also connects episode 4 with the scientist thinking the walker is protector or the feeder of the herd.
TWD is definitely my favorite show overall, and it's why I'm so pissed about it lately. But I also give my honest opinion. I just rewatched the whole series and tbh other than season 1 being what started it all, season 1 really wasn't that good either. Now seasons 3-7 are peak greatness. Then came the diversity quotas and Twd has been steadily going downhill since. Everything they did since has ABSOLUTELY SUCKED. Fear is terrible now, World Beyond was laughable at best, Tales shouldn't even be under TWD name. Hope for the spinn offs???? I have none, no matter what characters come back, even Rick, if the writing and story sucks Rick will suck. I'd love for it to not be this way but it's just not going to happen until they overhaul the whole writing staff and show running
