Agreed. You know I have to ask though. In the game's current state, would it even matter? When it's impossible to de-plane a CV I'm not really sure what the point of AA is anymore
@@thelaborpeasant just acts as a deferent, the higher DPM would mean less chances of a second or third strike depending on your ship and the enemy CV and plane type. I think my Maine and Ohio already do like 1,150+ dmp across the board, my maine does around 260 at 6.8k and 540 at 5k and my Ohio does 660 at 6.8k so these AA mods would be crazy, especially on Worcester and Rochester. More planes means more XP and Silver and I’m down

Yeah man, the historical factor is there for this one. I still don’t care about CVs, but having the Enterprise would be cool.

DO ADD ROCKET PLANES! I want so badly to play CVs at a higher tier, but there are so many higher tier ships with AA that will melt your planes before you can even blink! It's only gotten worse with this recent update. I am melting American Aircraft Squadrons as Scharnhorst! Freaking Scharnhorst! She has mediocre AA at best.
Well, I would love to see DD’s with a limited amount of torpedoes it would be more realistic. It would introduce a level of skill to DD operators instead of every little Tom, Dick and Harry running around, throwing torpedoes, is willy-nilly.
Only if the high tate of fire HE spamming ships had a ammunition limit also.
If that's what dds are doing they are playing wrong anyways. Pay attention, keep your ship moving and don't push in too early and you should be fine. As long as you are alive and the enemy dds are wasting time focusing you rather than doing their actual job your team will be in a good spot. Most destroyers simply rely on those for zoning and as a last resort if someone tries to push them. And torpedo boats would be pretty boring to play if they had limited torpedos because after you use them you are basically useless.

The atomic bombs were not used for naval warfare, they were used purely for decimating cities. Saying that they should be added to the game for the same reasons as carriers makes no sense, considering that carriers were most certainly used for naval warfare. A better comparison would be submarines, because they were also used for naval warfare, but would mess with the core of the game.

Actually there were used in one naval operation it's called Operation Crossroads look it up
We could launch a rocket catapult fighter with 1 use per match that fires a AIR-2A genie. It wasn’t introduced till 57’ but they would fire a air to air missile with a nuke and it would obliterate any air raiding units the US would have intercepted, specifically soviet long distance nuclear bombers. Could completely deplete a squadron in 1 use
@@NIGHTSHADE1997 Operation Crossroads was for nuclear testing, not actual combat. That was after WWII also. Cold War shit doesn’t belong in Wows; even the Friesland is too modern in my opinion.

VERY interesting to see Enterprise to come to the game!! Makes me curious on if Hiryu or Soryu (Probably butchered the last one lol) will arrive to the game. Perhaps Enterprise is hinting at an Alt USA Carrier line with AP bombs and Rocket Planes as their gimmick? Could have Yorktown as the T7.
As a CV main, I think that CVs could have rockets, but we shouldn't be able to have all 3 squads all the time, maybe changing one of your attacking squadron, or being able to change a squadron into rocket planes. Maybe it taking 1-2 minutes to rearm a squadron with rockets would be great. So it would give DDs some minutes at the start to make plays.

What da fack are you saying. My fantas was escaping from parseval torp planes during 5 minutes. His plane was coming in 5-10 seconds .CVs are so powerful.their restoration time must nerfed. We cannot move if cv is focused us
Well spoken on CV’s being in the game. I feel exactly the same. Don’t want them in the game but if the are to remain as they obviously are they shouldn’t be match maker ship imo as they put in the least amount of effort (or challenge) to impact the game. If a CV sits back and does nothing NOBODY cares and if the are flying overhead NOBODY cares but if you get a DD, CA, or BB going ham on your team everyone cares. To further that people care because the players like myself who play on the water actually have to play the game and deal with all the variables that come with the team your on, the objectives for the match, the struggles when it gets lopsided, and all the things that go along with playing on the water. You know if you play like we do.
We don’t get to sit back in a cozy chair fishing not really doing anything but throwing in cheap shots in engagements, you were not part of nor created, nor put any tactics into and drop hellfire overhead over and over. You haven’t earned that right in my opinion you’re a spider plane with ammunition that has been know what I’m not going here. Nice video A Aaron I miss you brother.
CV are still broken, they never run out of planes. This update is so broken, even more broken than the Ark Royal. I have never seen a game swing so much by one ship(CV) ever.

I think they need to add a 12 ship game where there are carriers and remove them from the traditional 9 ship game mode all together
Or make carrier games 10 v 10 the 3 - 3 - 3 for A-B-C caps is thrown out of whack too. Getting the far side from the carrier in a twosome can be rough

Now the question in a lot of people's minds is how is she's going to be delivered because there's multiple choices for her arrival.
1. New campaign
2. Bureau project
3. Global XP
4. Event Random Prize just like San Diego and Ferruccio.
5. Steel - I highly doubt it.
Broken tier 5 CV with tier 7 stats. Reminiscent of pre-nerf Ark Royal. I feel like a peasant during the French Revolution. “Let them eat cake” 17500 for Haida, take it or leave it, 17500 for Enterprise, take it or leave it, and in August, it’ll finally be Wisconsin, an AA buffed Iowa, knowing it will sell with the carrier meta.
Oh joy but I digress what I would really like to see is a dedicated gunboat Destroyer Commander for the hiadia....just sayin
I think we found the next campaign ship. Now the Enterprise is Tier 8 on PC, but they are not going to make a Tier 8 CV a thing this well be Tier 7,
Now I hope with the Enterprise also at last brings in rocket planes, with the last nerf to bombs accuracy to help BBs and the larger CLs that also made DD hitting is now back to a crap shoot, and it was still a bit of one with that better accuracy. when I was in a DD I never feared a CVs bombs or torps. Like most DD players were whinning about why I was not brain dead I watched the planes when they came close if they started to dive I moved out of the way.
WG just put in the rocket planes they were made for DD hunting, but then I guess that way you took them out. You guys love the DDs hence why most BBs, and larger CLa secondaries are jokes, and the ninja concealment level of DDs, spotting planes of BBs and CLs no longer spot planes meaning most nations BBs a few CLs no longer have ways to counter DDs of not sonor or rader is around.
I took off all my spotting planes off no point now because the small accuracy buff that still is not that good for maybe of your lucky two solovos on a BB. I run the secondary boot now, because at least I have a chance of a DD gets close spotted and in range,
Personally I couldn't care less. Yeah, it's a historic ship but CVs gameplay just isn't very engaging.
bros the carrier re-nerf work was too much, i can barely fly anywhere, compared to befor ei could cover 50 to 60 % of the map, now its 30-40 ish. the bombers were finally able to fight dds and now the bombs are dispersing everywhere but my target. does this mean that 30$ commander is looming for plane disperson and plane grouping rofl ? is it my imaginations that more than damage was renerfed ?

Cool with carriers. But there needs to be a stronger AA module to counter them. Shouldn’t be a almost guaranteed hit every time even with the a AA build. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for the update.
From a historical perspective I'm a huge fan of the Enterprise and will probably get it for that reason. Don't know it I'll ever play it though as Carrier gameplay is not enjoyable for me

We are not playing World of Battleships Legends. No amount of complaining will change the fact that Carriers and Submarines are "WARSHIPS".

Imma be real with you, i dont understand the Hate carriers get. The only carriers in this game that have given me any serious grief are Russian carriers, and that's only when a really good carrier player is playing them. The shops that give me the most grief no matter what ship i play are Torpedo spammers. Boats that can launch 500,000 torpedoes in a single volley then pop a reload booster and paunch again, blanketing an entire map with so many torps even destroyers have a hard time dodging.
99% of the time carrier squadrons get melted if any ships stays close to another. I dont even have an AA build on my Yorck and i can still wipe out half of a squadron and dodge their bonbs or torpedoes. Carriers are mediocre and i only see them doing decent damage if they have a really good player playing them or they are Serov.
The hate stems from CVs being able to attack any target without threat to their own ship. I get the hate for destroyers and their concealment is pretty silly but they are also rather easily countered if you know how to avoid them. The game works really well with the rock, paper scissors, dynamic but CVs sort of ruin that. Thanks for the super chat BTW

Well Denise Crosby from TNG was recording as one of her characters for Wow according to a podcast she did a few months back and the trek event for pc was a kelvinverse event so one for console isn’t out of the question. Also probably confirms AL Enterprise for the next new wave of that event.

It is seriously criminal that they didn't make the Big E a museum.
My bet is they make it a bureau project for doubloons (5000) or credits (30,000,000). That way they make more sales and get more people playing to boost progress. This is gonna make wg a lot of money.
Do those take less time to complete than the normal ones? Because twice the cost of a campaign ship that i have to wait months at best to eventually play or pay god knows how much more to immediately use seems quite a shit option.

Hmm.. not sure which russian ship you're referring to. The p. bagration perhaps? It probably won't be for gxp. Every ship made available for gxp has been for a previous campaign that was particularly popular. My guess at the Big E being released as a bureau project is based on the idea that wg wants to make as much $ as possible off of the Enterprise. It may very well be they release it like any other T7 ship (again a guess) for 17,500 doubloons, but $70 for a ship is quite a lot of money for a digital boat and will undoubtably turn many people off. However charging twenty dollars (a much easier pill to swallow) for a bureau would probably result in many more purchases generating a lot of revenue for the company. And if the precedent of having the option buy for 30,000,000 silver holds, they avoid alienating the player base that simply can't afford the money to buy it outright. But this is all just personal speculation. We'll just have to wait and see. GG's, friend.

I try to be. I have my faults and biases but it’s annoying seeing people have clear biases towards things and not viewing stuff objectively anymore
They could add rockets, but make the rocket squadron a tactical squad like Essex’s on PC. Meaning that the whole squad attacks only once, and restores as one whole squad so it takes awhile. But it’s just an idea

they need to change William Halsey to a hybrid commander cause he commanded the USS ENTERPISE's fleet and they also need bring the smoke screen for the carriers and the rocket planes, i enjoy carriers but they need to add Shinano.
