Thank you. Half the teams in DDs is almost as bad as a carrier match. I would also suggest a solution for all of the AFK players in the beginning of matches. WG needs to start them all at full throttle. Make them stop their boats or drive into the middle to get destroyed. Hate AFK starters
Interesting idea. I think that any AFK players or anyone who finishes with 0 XP should have double service costs, and their team should have no service costs for that match. I also think fail divisions shouldn't be a thing. Why should I have to suffer because someone else has a stubborn friend who won't drop a tier?
If you have to confirm you are ready instead of it automatically dropping you into the match after loading, it would certainly help. If you don't confirm, you get bumped and someone else drops in. For those who go AFK in a match, it might help if WG had better servers. I get a broken connection or have performance issues quite regularly and WoWS is the only game it happens on.
It happened with the birthday event last year, but was the only time I can remember it happening. There were a lot of BB being played for that event (even though it had cruisers and dds).
Games with more than 3 dd's per team are horrible, I've found many players trying the Pan-European destroyers and they don't know what they're doing (I've seen many Friesland dying in the first 5 minutes of the game). Then there are the typical Japanese dd's players who get torpedoed inside their smoke screen, the destroyers who spend most of the game behind islands and don't give intelligence, Jägers from the enemy team who do whatever they want because no allied destroyer is looking for them to stop them, among other things. Anyway, I hope Wargaming fixes this soon because it's not fun for anyone when the game is already decided during the first 5 minutes. Good video, greetings!
Yeah been seeing a lot of the things you've mentioned. That being said it's a good time to be in a good gunboat destroyer...lots of available xp in games like this
We need a game mode that doesn't count towards any missions or goals whatsoever. The amount of selfish players out there ruining other players games because all they need are ship detections etc is just crazy. They just race in as fast as possible to get what they need and then die. This crap really pisses me off ! We waste boosters on matches that are destined to fail. Give us a mode that's free from all this BS !
I want to rage quit every game with 4 dds. Especially when I know 3 of my dds are on my blocked list for being inactive or useless. Fun Fact! There is a limit to how many players can be on your blocked list. And yes, you still get matchmaked with them.
I’m assuming because of the new DD line. So many people are using DDs right now. I guess that’s why so many DDs. But I understand the frustration. It’s frustrating for all players even us DDs
lol yeah, I actually don’t mind this because to your point, it’s an opportunity to go and play something that is a good destroyer hunter (or to counter whatever matchmaking is flooded with). Most recently I was frustrated with the amount of Louisianas at legendary tier… so I was playing my shimakaze for a while 😈😈. Also happens when the campaign ships become available to the masses.
I completely agree with you. No more than 3 destroyers. Sometimes it gets absolutely stupid and I'm so tired of carriers. The lower tiers most of the ships don't have enough AA to be able to fight off the planes and ships that I used to love playing. I don't even play Anymore because they just get absolutely wrecked by the carriers. And in the higher tiers, the ships have so much AA that you can't get decent attacks from your carriers. Anyway, you lose all your planes on a single run every time if you're lucky enough to get a run in..
GG. I have had the same ask of WG for WoT Console - add counter-challenges when they have challenges to play a specific class. They've done that for light tanks and tank destroyers and it gets so annoying seeing half of the team play the same scout class. I think it's a good idea. I hope you can get it some traction in ships!
Nahh, those games are rare and fun to play now and then. Just don’t be cowering at the back. (You should never do that, but there’s absolutely no reason to do it when there’s no destroyers.)
@christofferahnstedt593 my issue is it is always when I am in like a Cleveland or any smoke cruiser. Baltimore or Hipper for example I can manage cause they have good enough armor to kinda peak around them and Hipper has good armor in general to play up close and personal in open water. I don't particularly like playing cruisers in open water outside of a select few though because it stresses me out.
@@gokuismymom8553 try and build for concealment more gives you a huge buffer when you don't get good spotting from your team. And you can assist with providing spotting high level mikawa helps a lot here
I played 12 matches on Sunday: 7 matches with 5 dd, 4 matches with 4 dd and one without dd. I asked on discord (ask the team) and they said that there are no plans on limiting the amount of dd. I’ve decided to stop spending money because it’s not fun anymore. As a BB it’s just a question of time (maximum 3 minutes) until you’re dead.

It’s still a fact. You can adapt and be an asset to the matchmaking. Or be part of the problem. You could learn to play cruisers well. Waiting for WG to fix everything to your liking while spamming the most over played (and badly played) ship type in the game, probably won’t work.🤷♂️

At tier 7 and up that's been happening 50% of the time if not more in the last 2 weeks. I'm personally by myself just getting on to get my oil for my fleet. The game has got so bad with player base that it's done took the fun out of it
I feel the same about BBs lol. I think DDs and BBs should be capped at 3 each per match. And if there aren't enough crusiers to fill the roasters, let the BB and DD players kill each other in a 6v6. That's just my humble opinion
I don't see anyone complaining about having 5, 6 or 7 battleships game after game, constantly. I have absolutely no problem having 4 destroyers in a game. Not at all.
I've noticed some really bad performance issues with the server lately. It might not be always the fault of the player. But a genuine AFK should be penalised. Then again, they are because the game has cost them to play (maintenance cost) and if they haven't participated, they don't get any reward.

Speaking of cvs, if i play Agincourt for tier 3 premium supplies i am ALWAYSin a cv game. If i play something like Aa build California i am NEVER in a cv game. My fault for keeping track i suppose.
I honestly don't understand the matchmaking any more. It used to make sense and was balanced. Games were fun and you didn't know who would win before the start of the game. I now see in almost every game there are mismatches in the skill level and number of divisions. The difference is skill levels are not small, but often a complete collapse of a side in the first few minutes. However even more weird is a mismatch in the ship types. E.g. Four dds vs 3 dds, with the other dd replaced by a BB or cruiser. It is like the matchmaker is deliberately set to make asymmetric battles or there is something wrong with the settings.
Well Ive been unhappy with the 4 & 5 destroyer matches per side let alone 6, there should not be more than three per side...when I play DD's I don't need a wingman. I've seen excessive DD's even when there isn't a DD mission promo going on but that's just me. Have I on occasion dropped out of some matches over that? when it's several matches in a row, i most certainly have done it, and I ain't sorry about it either. On a side note, is anyone seeing that the doubloon tab in the store has been mostly down since last Saturday? I have and it's not a great way to run a business. What's up with Wargaming's store? Have they said anything about it? Or is it just me?
The last. Update the change in the way the plane's spot. I thought was perfect, but then they buffed the planes and took away their hit points. And now they're worthless and a waste of time to play carriers at legendary or tier 8
I honestly think Lt cv's are better right now then their t7 equivalents, you have lots of good AA cusiers at the tier and Lt has lots of BBS and DD's and cruisers are not as popular. I see lots of Balti's, D7p's, Shimanto's etc with only a few cv's being good enough to get though all that AA to deal effective damage. There is a reason you don't see that many Shoukaku's, Implacable's, and Parsaval's compared to Kaga, Enterprise and Lexington.
Gives a different flavour ive had many 2500xp games since the challenges due to the plethora of low skilled low game iq dd players, most dont even shoot just throw torps, my only issue is I can't obtain the Mauvenet without getting it in a crate so I cant complete the challenges, should get the t4 for silver but then have to get the others in a crate, stord is a bit of fun though
It's not a lot of fun for a DD player either having more than 3 DDs in a match. Your team mates won't push in for fear of torpedoes, so no support if you try to cap.

1:20 only last for a few weeks with lots of dds… well that’s almost my every matchmaking even when there’s no new destroyer ships. 😂 Been getting matches like these a lot as a battleship, oh I’m mean as a flooting piñata for dds.

I have been running more super cruisers with sonar or radar & ships like the Odin that can really shred DD's. DD gun boats are now more fun to play as well.. 😉

I’ve seen a few arguments on the subreddit and the discord regarding which is worse, or more bearable: high dd games or high bb games, and I don’t see the point, BOTH are a problem. Too many bbs in a match? Well the cruisers get dogged on, and when there’s too many dds, it’s the same for bbs. It’s a problem that needs more addressing, thank you for making the video. WG really needs to get on this
Yeah certainly lots of destroyers out there. I've had plenty of games with 5 DDs per team but couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 6 the other day😮. I play battleships a lot and that's a shitload of torps in the water. One positive to this is you can rack up some serious xp in battles like these. GG Captain...enjoyed watching👍
Match making is hurting this game. The game is great when you have a reasonable team it's the other 70% of games that are uphill battles and slogs that just drain me, they're so needlessly hard because 1-3 players in every match are just doing braindead selfish stuff or not helping.
That and people are seeing how easy it is playing dd's. Cruisers and dd's are easy mode, I use to be a bb man but they just have nothing going for them now....so I play cruisers or dd's.
Heizman's game was a 6 destroyer game not 7* I can't count (The point remains the same you corrective dorks)

What we need generally (and specifically now, with the destroyer missions) is more people playing cruisers.

Or, they could change the meta and make it ai missions only. Take missions out of standard battles leave it for campaign missions.
I actually quite enjoy being spotted by 4+ boats that are undetected and loaded up with 300 nuclear warhead equivalents…

The challenges have an A and a B option. You don’t need Mauvenet to complete them.

I have been running more super cruisers with sonar or radar & ships like the Odin that can really shred DD's.
DD gun boats are now more fun to play as well.. 😉
I’m absolutely loving the Odin rn with the insane dpm the blue archive commander gives. It just feels like a tier 8 cruiser with great survivability.

I’ve seen a few arguments on the subreddit and the discord regarding which is worse, or more bearable: high dd games or high bb games, and I don’t see the point, BOTH are a problem.
Too many bbs in a match? Well the cruisers get dogged on, and when there’s too many dds, it’s the same for bbs.

Yeah certainly lots of destroyers out there. I've had plenty of games with 5 DDs per team but couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 6 the other day😮. I play battleships a lot and that's a shitload of torps in the water. One positive to this is you can rack up some serious xp in battles like these. GG Captain...enjoyed watching👍
Match making is hurting this game. The game is great when you have a reasonable team it's the other 70% of games that are uphill battles and slogs that just drain me, they're so needlessly hard because 1-3 players in every match are just doing braindead selfish stuff or not helping.
This seasons events has been a nightmares, %95 of the time going againts 3-5 destroyers. I'm trying to have a good time with cruisers. 🎉
Blame it on the special missions and what it does to the marchmaker
I solved the problem by heading straight into a capp and surrounding myself with 3 red destroyers.

That and people are seeing how easy it is playing dd's. Cruisers and dd's are easy mode, I use to be a bb man but they just have nothing going for them now....so I play cruisers or dd's.
To actually play cruisers well is the hardest thing to do in this game, sitting behind an island spamming doesn't take much skill yes

This game is not really designed for historical accuracy either with ship choice or combat tactics
WG needs to make a ship limit like 3 DDs per side. That or restore ship spotting for carriers.
