Good diagnosis !! I just checked my autodoc account and see that I paid £20 for 4 Ridex glowplugs for my CLK last year. They have the red ring so that appears to be significant? Not had any issue since to changed them. Didn't have any issue before I changed them, but thought I'd do it seeing car had 80,000 miles 😂
Interesting video, good to see you're putting content on again, i always find your videos entertaining. Totally agree with you regarding taking time to think back to the original fault,it can save a lot of time and head scratching. Personally i think Ebay is o.k. for some parts i.e trim ,non "technical " parts etc. But its worth paying the extra for parts like glowplugs etc. Look forward to your next video😊
I've just changed my bmw e90 glow plugs, you have to pay very close attention because they do many different ones that are the same but have different voltage ratings etc. Always check realOEM for bmw parts as euro car parts etc don't have the right info. My mechanic tested the faulty glow plugs and all 4 worked and he did the same thing as u, and I had 3 out!

Think I was just unlucky with this batch. Or maybe the wrong ones. Anyhow they didn't work but only £20 and some of my time lost

Yes agreed. Bought 2 bosch glow plugs and you can see the quality is better.
