Hi Buddy. It is not a German WW II soldier’s knife but Polish brand Gerlach fitter’s knife from ‘60-70. I have one like this after my dad. Nice work though anyway!
Bravo!
Nice job. Brass rod can be purchased in almost any gauge, will hold well, will add color and peen more easily with your hammer than nails. Also less work. Thanks 🎸🔪
The point is he did a good job restoring it's not about putting the guys work down come on people quit being rude who cares if it's not a German knife y'all miss the big picture
My mother had a knife like this. Very good tool. It's Polish knife, not German WWII🤣🤣🤣 I watch many restoration channels and most creators try to research anything about a tool they restore. If not, at least they don't make up titles like you. Earlier I watched your video about Austro-Hungarian knife, now I doubt if it even was it. Maybe it was French knife, maybe German, who knows. Not you, this is at least clear.😂
You're wrong. Gerlach brand was always Polish not German!!!. This company exists in Poland till now and it's condition is very good. Please change the clip title.

Gee... Not the best restoration i saw. But not the best either. Low cost, easy, few instruments used. Forgive me saying, but you can do better. Now it looks like a Bangladesh trench restoration on the floor. Best of luck to you. Do better things, for the better live!

I myself, if I had gotten into this hobby, would always use wood for the handles. Then again, they would not be 'restorations', but custom rebuilds.
Nice restoration. I love to see people have passion in their work when it comes to vintage items like this pocket knife for example.👍🏽
Here is for another 80+ years use every day! Good restored ;-))
I love old pocket knives and watching their restoration. Thank for taking care of theses old knives.

Very satisfying video and beautiful outcome. For sure this knife will work many years more👌🏻🌟 Thank you you for saving this old guy.

Excellent job. But Gerlach it's a Polsh knife company. I doubt it's WW2 German Soldier's pocket folding knife.

Great job! What is the "soda" you use? Is it common (in the US) baking soda ( NaHCO3)? And what is it's purpose when used with vinegar? Thanks!
This is ordinary baking soda. Soda neutralizes vinegar.

What is the purpose of the spiky tool? (Not the knife)
It is an awl, for poking and widening holes in leather and wood.
while it was a great restoration on a personal level I would rather see a repair in the wooden grips to keep it as original as possible,
GERLACH made in Poland 😁👍
Oh Man" 😥 I was so" hoping you would do the handles in Red European' Stag 😥
Gerlach is a Polisch brand
Gerlach is a polish knife maker.

On nawet koło lat 40tych nie leżał. Jest tak z 25 lat młodszy. Klasyczny monter od Gerlacha, nic specjalnego.
