- In this video, I'm restoring an old rusty Rare WW2 German Soldier's pocket folding knife. This knife was made in the 1940s in Poland. I decided to restore the knife. I hope you enjoy my restoration of the old rusty pocket knife.

Nóż montażowy polskiej fabryki Gerlach z okresu komunizmu . Miałem taki . Ładnie go odnowiłeś .
No właśnie. Jaki tam niemiecki?
The old WOODIES hold a special place in my heart !!! Many has been the time , when I would walk up to a man's sale display at a knife show & my favorite knife in the display was also the most expensive piece he had for sale !!! Nice of you to keep another one alive !!!
I love old pocket knives and watching their restoration. Thank for taking care of theses old knives.
thanks!
Here is for another 80+ years use every day! Good restored ;-))
Nice restoration. I love to see people have passion in their work when it comes to vintage items like this pocket knife for example.👍🏽
Very satisfying video and beautiful outcome. For sure this knife will work many years more👌🏻🌟 Thank you you for saving this old guy.
Thanks for watching my videos
@@ReXtorer with pleasure ✌🏻⚒️🌟
Well put
BEAUTIFUL !!
Excellent work
I find the restoration of these old pocket knives to be very soothing.
It looks excellent and you did a great job restoring it as well!!!!
Enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
Excellent job. But Gerlach it's a Polsh knife company. I doubt it's WW2 German Soldier's pocket folding knife.
Very good restoration
It may be simple to some people but a lot of people couldn't do it and you seem to enjoy it very much you turned a mess into a very good looking piece I don't know what more anybody could say
Keep on doing what you're doing and I'll watch I can learn something
I collect knives as a hobby and I would like to be able to restore some of the older knives but I don't know if I've got the patience you have
Thanks for watching my videos. Yes, it takes patience)
Hi Buddy. It is not a German WW II soldier’s knife but Polish brand Gerlach fitter’s knife from ‘60-70.
I have one like this after my dad.
Nice work though anyway!
Very nice restoration!
Thank you!

Damn fine job! Earned a sub
Damm good job
Nice job. Brass rod can be purchased in almost any gauge, will hold well, will add color and peen more easily with your hammer than nails. Also less work. Thanks 🎸🔪
Nicely done. 😊
Great work , what kind of wood did you use for the scales.
Sehr gut
Te felicito 🤩
nice job
Hermoso trabajo
I have the British Army knife from 1939. It has a similar lambsfoot blade, a can opener and a marlin spike.
Good knife!
10.5/10
Bravo!
Sudah sy like comant dan suscarabe y

*Is the 'heavy-tapered' tool a 'shell-case extractor' for a 'Model SG-'98'*
*I think so*

Muito bom !
Obrigada!
Do you repair Vietnam era knives?
Dope AF results, @ReXtorer!
@ 9:26
Isn't the ball side of the hammer supposed to be used to round off [peen] those pins?
while it was a great restoration on a personal level I would rather see a repair in the wooden grips to keep it as original as possible,
👍👍👍👍👍
Nice job but should have used beech wood as the original not the ash as you used
this is not a German pocket knife but a Polish Gerlach from the 1980s
Perhaps guy don't know exactly what he restoring. Or he knew, but wrote a German WW knife for a hipe
😂😂 02:03
I only came across information that it was a Polish knife from the period of German occupation and was used by German soldiers. Later knives differed.
The point is he did a good job restoring it's not about putting the guys work down come on people quit being rude who cares if it's not a German knife y'all miss the big picture
Great job! What is the "soda" you use? Is it common (in the US) baking soda ( NaHCO3)? And what is it's purpose when used with vinegar? Thanks!
This is ordinary baking soda. Soda neutralizes vinegar.
@@ReXtorer Thank you very much!
Perfect!Bravo!👍👍👍💕
GERLACH made in Poland 😁👍
What is the purpose of the spiky tool? (Not the knife)
It is an awl, for poking and widening holes in leather and wood.

👏💞😍👌💪👍
👍👍👍
Oh Man" 😥 I was so" hoping you would do the handles in Red European' Stag 😥
GERLACH old POLISH (Polski) , not German manufacture
💯%👌
What ? Gerlach is a Polish company. This is not German knife. After all, works is splendid.
Made in Poland
Gerlach is a polish knife maker.
😃😃💪💪👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Mantaaaaaaaaap
You're wrong. Gerlach brand was always Polish not German!!!. This company exists in Poland till now and it's condition is very good. Please change the clip title.
My mother had a knife like this. Very good tool. It's Polish knife, not German WWII🤣🤣🤣 I watch many restoration channels and most creators try to research anything about a tool they restore. If not, at least they don't make up titles like you. Earlier I watched your video about Austro-Hungarian knife, now I doubt if it even was it. Maybe it was French knife, maybe German, who knows. Not you, this is at least clear.😂
On nawet koło lat 40tych nie leżał. Jest tak z 25 lat młodszy. Klasyczny monter od Gerlacha, nic specjalnego.
Gerlach is a Polisch brand
*The original wooden scales are made of beech wood. I had a knife like this once, it cost PLN 19.50 in the store.*
Mam kilka takich
Ja ja!
Po-mi-dor-ka!
It's definitely polish knife, and not ww2.
gerlach...
Prawdę mówisz . To jest nóż z polskiej fabryki Gerlach. Z okresu gdy istniało CCCP a Polska była komunistyczna .Fabryka Gerlach istnieje nadal w Polsce.
@@ReXtorer Nie prawda to powojenny nóż z okresu komunistycznej Polski.
Gee... Not the best restoration i saw. But not the best either. Low cost, easy, few instruments used.
Forgive me saying, but you can do better. Now it looks like a Bangladesh trench restoration on the floor.
Best of luck to you. Do better things, for the better live!
It’s Patrick
