What a waste of time and money. They still have to wait for Israel to check and approve everything on the ships coming into the port. If that's the case why not drive trucks through the crossings?

I think these are not for aid. If they really want to bring aid, they can send in troops to protect the aid. US has plenty of landing vehicles that don't need piers. I would not even be surprised this is to bring heavy military equipment for Israel.

It was not built to hp Gaza...it was built to make it easy for contractors to ship the equipment to build housing on top of the ruble and dead in Gaza.

I think they're doing it so if they're accused of committing war crimes by the ICC they'll have something to point to and say "oh look we were deeply concerned and also were attempting to provide humanitarian aid by all means". It's so save face, essentially.

a concern has been raised that this pier is to prepare for "humanitarian" evacuation of palestinians from gaza to give room for israeli settlements and planned israeli/arab investor cities
So how do they stop the fellas from stealing from these trucks like they do now?
logistics for what..? do we believe those constructing are capable of open and honest communication? why is this happening with out other humanitarian oriented countries? eye personally don't think this is a project for peace in any way shape or form..
Aid is already on the other side of rafah border. This is built to displace palestinians to another location like egypt or another african nation.
