I literally just camped at this sport 2 weeks back, top of Mt Herman, main road take a right and head back....it is a great spot, my wife and I love it, also has the Para Gliders keep an eye out. I am the guy who made the fire pit and left the wood!!!! Welcome to Colorado, next hit 11 mile reservoir you will love it up 24 out of the springs
So cool!!... by harvesting the dead wood, and re-locating it to a controled burn fire pit, you're clearing the land and helping to reduce wild fire fuel... thanks and great job!

What I meant by that I'm not a camper but I like watching it so. It's nice that you're able to do this and your wife you know doesn't complain about you going out and I know sometimes she goes with you. It makes you have a good healthy marriage where you you know you do what you enjoy she does what she enjoys you can come together you know and camp out together. All you need now is a dog.
The Dang Sauce is amazing!! And Iv been watching there channel for like 4 or 5 years! They have came a long long way..
If you are in an area where you need bear spray, you are in an area where you need to put all your food in a bear bag and hang it high in a tree far away from your camp.
Bears will do some big time damage if they smell food . They can smell gum and even your tooth paste.

That's one thing I love about living up in the higher cities, it gets nice and cool in the evenings and it does get cold pretty quick! I'm in UT but the climate and geography is pretty similar.

SRM is the rating for darkness of beer apparently. The lower the number, the lighter it is. 1-40 for scale

Really enjoy watching your videos. I'm not a big outdoor camper top but I always like to see the places you've gone and a different kind of food you can fix out there. You actually the only person I watched it can't. There was a couple I just quit watching cuz I got bored with it but yours is never boring.

That was the fun part of living out there was being able to just dip out into the mountains and do whatever whenever you want. Used to love driving up those trails and just finding a bomb ass spot to chill

@@Regina0964 Lived there for 6 years after the Army. Decided to head back home to Florida though and sell our house there considering the price of it basically doubled with everybody moving to Colorado lol.

Man buddy your in my spot exact spot where we use to go camping what a trip we saw and heard a big foot up there right where your at .if you fallow that road it dead ends in the river but it down a ways .

County Road 320 leading west toward Mount Herman and Rampart Range. I live down the road and spend a lot of time up there. I've been in that very same location, it's a beautiful place (aside from all the broken glass and bullet shells on the ground). You should worry more about the hairy-man than bears in that area. No joke.
When I see rocks like that, I imagine safely being able to watch them come up from the earth. Even though we thankfully were not here to see it, it left us such beauty. 🥰

I used to work with a gal who was fair skinned and part mexican. She LOVED really spicy jalapenos, and salsa. She referred to herself as a "whiteican"... lol... thats what I think of when I see you eat really spicy food and chechirones. haha

Guys! In Colorado you don't need bearspray except for in spring with mommas we only have little black bears that are the size of a dog! They are way more afraid of you!

In bear country you’ll need a portable electric fence around your campsite. Less than 2.5 lbs for huge peace of mind.

Ha, 8900 feet in Colorado ain’t a mountain, we call those foothills… 😂 You look like you are just west of I-25 either in the Golden/Boulder area or west of Co. Springs.

You need to put a set of air bags on the back of your truck, great for pulling a heavy trailer in the future and can also use them to level your truck some. Just a thought. Love mine with the remote!
