Mauro Sousa, the guest judge in the Brazilian episode, is son of Maurício de Sousa, the most famous cartoonist in Brazil. He is gay. The son, not the father. The father created the characters you two used in your name tags in your Drag Race Brasil Cast Reveal! episode.

More insight on the Brasil runway references, the parade designer Miranda paid tribute to was fantastic and to this day considered the greatest in Rio's carnaval history, the church was bad (as always) and didn't let him show the homeless Christ sculpture, his decision of still parading it covered in trash bags, which fit the theme of that parade, while also showing that written sentence, made it truly iconic. And Organzza's was a reference to another samba school, Mangueira, which is represented by the green and pink color combo, like Betina who did a reference to the white and blue Beija-Flor.

a couple references:
organzza's and TNT's looks were inspired by mangueira, a famous samba school whose colors are green and pink; organzza was a sort-of masculine version of the "porta bandeira" figure (usually a woman in a huge dress), while TNT was a feminized version of the "mestre sala" (a man who follows the porta bandeira)
betina's look was inspired by the samba school beija-flor, as you said; its colors are blue and white
and as for what miranda wrote on her face... no one has any idea, honestly. everyone is puzzled and kinda just waiting for her to explain it 💀
she wrote RIO on her forehead, first RO, then the I. i had to watch the episode again to understand it
Organzza look was a reference to her samba school mangueira just like betina was for beixa flor . Also tnt is a cheap and also highly flammable fabric just like organzza .

by the way, remember that "Corrida das Blogueiras" reality show Dacota mentioned she participated in? The first episode from season 5 streams tonight here on youtube. It's heavily inspired by Drag Race and Grag Queen is actually going to be one of the guest judges this season. You guys should check it out. The subtitles are only in portuguese, but youtube can translate them very well (I just don’t know how quickly they’ll add them).

Beija-flor means hummingbird. The literal translation is flower kisser, which is beautiful imagery.
About Organzza's look: the pink and green stan for Mangueira's colors. Mangueira is one of the most famous samba school in BR. Organzza is half a Mestre Sala and half a Porta Bandeira. This couple is the most important in the parade, because they hold and present to the audience the samba school flag (called "pavilhão").
TNT is a Passista, a member of a section in the parade, with mostly members of the school who dances samba thorougout the parade. Shannon's look is also ressembles a Passista.

Ladieeeesss!!!! Another super fun review!! And also let me tell you again, in case you need to hear it: There's absolutely no problem with doing 2 reviews in one video! I think it even has some advantages sometimes, it's a mixing of cultures, makes the audience curious about another season etc. So keep doing them if it's better for you. The only thing for *me* is I dont watch the 2 seasons at the same speed, so sometimes i have to stop watching mid video and come back later when I'm caught up. If that's not an issue for you as content creators, i think we're just good with having fun and thoughful reviews about international franchises

When they said Organzza came as Wicked I died cause there was a whole debacle on Twitter cause some Brazilians were saying the same thing even thought she was representing ‘mangueira’ a samba school known nationwide 😂😂😂. Also the Miranda lipsync I think nobody understood and ppl are saying that Shannon won that lipsync but got sent home cause she had the weakest track record

It has been said that they were not asked to brig a makeover look, they were asked to bring only one Carnaval at Sapucaí runway look, that’s why most of their looks were better than the one they had to put together last minute for their partners. Hellena was the only one that already had two very similar looks at her closet because half of their looks are gowns and classic dancing costumes hired from the very same studio 😵💫
