They didn't throw him away....they weren't paying him fairly for the percentage of work he was putting in....not giving him writing credits and basically treated the dude like a session member. So he walked away from the situation like anyone would if they were being treated like a chump

I know vortex fucked up but getting rid of him kinda fucked me up and i stopped listening to dimmu. I still love them but the music just wasnt the same
