Great to see you back and congrats on the gig! Looking forward to some more videos.
Thank you!
HE'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahaha good to hear from you to buddy
Awesome to see you back chap, good on you 👊🏼
Cheers mate, good to be back
Congrats on entering the fun world of FPV. I did so myself about four months ago. Have not looked back since.
It has been incredible fun, wish I had started sooner
And thank you
awesome videos to bro!!
Ive had the same problem with the goggles not working very good with the DJI Sim, been having a blast with the drone just been waiting for warmer weather! Where we are its been bellow zero steady!
Yeah I’ve done a little research to see if any other sims work with the googles but no luck so far
Dude! Good to see you back and I'm looking forward to seeing where your chanel is going to take us 👍.
Thank you, I’m looking forward to showing you
Glad you’re back man. People watch as much for what you bring as the content! Look forward to more new stuff!
Thank you mate, feels good to be back
Great video I am getting ready to buy the fpv drone. I have been flying GPS drones for 4 years ready for a new thing.
With how much I’ve been flying since making this video I’d not recommend it, the avata looks all good though.
@tb- photography any particular reason for not buying it?
It’s very expensive to repair, it’s penetration is very average, I had plans to flying it around things over long distance etc but unlike the mavics it doesn’t go out of LOS well.
And the GoPro 11 camera quality is miles better, I still own the drone, but the future of fpv is with the avatars new O3 transmission system
Hey man, this is a great video! I flew RC planes for years, then jumped to FPV quads thinking it'd be a breeze. Those first few weeks are punishing!
I started with an $80 Eachine quad and the first time I flew it, I lost it in a field for like 45 minutes. The movement, spatial orientation and "real" environment are just things that can't be learned in a sim. The notion of my early learning curve applied to a $1000 quad instead of a sub $100 quad is just horrifying.
Your ending video makes it seem like you've progressed pretty far, but if you still feel the need to polish your skills a 3" acro quadcopter will teach you so much with so much less risk. Pushing past your limits and being able to brush the thing off or just replace the props will make your skills skyrocket.
You already have a DJI setup, so even getting an Air Unit equipped version is doable. Good luck!
I’ve been flying a lot with it and really loving it so I’m very much included to do as you suggest
Good to see you back and congratulations on the new gig. Really look forward to seeing how things progress with the FPV drone. I have been looking to get an FPV drone and it's nice to see how someone else does with there first FPV drone. BTW the new office setup looks great.
Thanks and yeah the office took a bit of work to get right, lots of blacking out windows to try and tone down the wooden colour of the background
Awesome content brother.
I have a DJI Mavic how easy is the transition?
In normal and sport mode it’s a real easy shift, going full manual is REAL different, but the simulator can help ya feel what that’s like
I’ve just watched your manual mode vid.
I have only been confident to fly in normal and sports mode, but I’m slowly building confidence in the virtual flight app.
I’m about ready to give manual a go. It’s good to see yours survive a couple crashes.
What camera angle and rates do you suggest?
Also I really recommend a playlist on manual mode by a guy named reel rhahim as those tutorials helped me out so much.
I started at about 10degrees and go up to about 22max, I also now own a few other fpv drones but still use the DJI for a lot of my commercial work
The Reel Rahim I think is how it’s spelt. He’ll slowly go through all sorts, from first flight, all the way to going through specific tricks and stuff! Deffo worth it for getting more of an idea on the dji fpv capabilities and limits!
Cheers for sharing man, hopefully it’ll help some others out, might be worth while you giving him a shout out in a forum or Facebook page though to get him a bit more credit
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography You got into other FPVs also! That’s cool. I was considering something like that as I’m worried about crashing my Dji. I don’t have care refresh on it, so I’m well on edge about it. Was looking at a Nazgûl Evoque, or the green hornet or bumblebee Cinewhoop as they can take some pretty hefty crashes, but it’s all so daunting with regards to having to build and set it all up etc.
there’s a few bind and fly options, and it’ll work with my goggles I already own, but not the controller (well annoying hey!)
Anyway… glad I stumbled upon your channel, and seeing you crash has deffo gave me a bit more confidence in my dji.
You got some sick footage and locations around you buddy.
Check out ‘Harold of Kernow’ on UA-cam if you want to see some footage of mine. It’s mainly all Air 2 at the mo but I will get there with my FPV.
Looking forward to seeing you post some footage from these new fpv quads your flying!
Cheers
Yeah I got the evoque 5 and protek 35 both from iflight and both as bind and fly, they did take A whole day of learning to get up in the air though but they are amazing and well worth getting in to
I just bought this a couple days ago got everything up and going firm ware and all activated and mine will not lift off,I checked the props they are red to red black to black I am at a stand still all the lights are red.now do you think its the warning I am getting on the osd its says warning use caution, and I am close to 2 air ports in Mobile,Alabama am I geo locked or fenced been seeing that a lot on the videos??? any help is appreciated
Just to confirm, are you getting a warning saying you are too close to a airport?
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography no sir just two warnings and they say use caution
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography also it tried to spin and tip over then it shut down no damage this drone have never seen the air yet end of day two
Have you calibrated your drones gps? How many satellites do you get connected to?
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography well I recalibrated the drone and the imu and I been flying it very fun first drone ever and in normal it’s a breeze
Love the video mate, but are you not meant to have a sotter with you?
Do you mean a spotter?
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography yeah lol, sorry about that
I believe legally yes, which when flying in a public location I do, but flying around my house I do not
tb-!Hi.Likee-nice ,catch you later-
