The way the grandparents bailed them out every time and Rory never became successful...shouldve married logan instead becoming a cheater. I think the loans were better for rory to wake her up. Lorelei was never a good example, always sheltering her.
As long as Rory marries Logan for love 💕 that’s what matters
Lorelai has too much pride for that. Especially from Straub and Francine, the world's shittiest grandparents. Piece of shits.
I think everyone forgets that Rory grew up in a rundown one room shack at the back of an inn. That her mom was a 16yr old single mother. Like we meet them once she’s exposed to the Gilmore wealth but she didn’t have that growing up.
And I think she would’ve been successful as a society lady like Emily running fundraisers or a corporate wife or secretary. But Lorelei hated the very things Rory was good at so Rory had to keep pushing at the Journalist angle that wasn’t a fit for her.
@@joanclayton5212 straight up facts💯💯. Lorelei was really judgmental. I guess from Lorelei's point of view, it would be really dumb if she ran away from her parents to raise Rory "freely" only for Rory to turn out exactly like Emily and Richard. That fear is what bothered Lorelei since the first episode. Lorelei gave up everything for Rory, but I think she held that over her head too much

Why TF has lorelai not sued for child support yet? Christopher and his family should contribute at least a little.

Ikr, this is the problem with being too feminist & independent...if a guy has a child with you ALL the responsibility of raising the child shouldn't just fall on you...too much of sth is always a bad thing

@@judigemini178 how does feminism for an individual fending for herself matter? We don't view it as "machism" when men do that; if the roles were reversed and Christopher was the bread winner you wouldn't be bringing up his gender and how "too much of that" is a bad thing.
@@cilliansands6166 well maybe because the roles are rarely reversed, it's usually men running away from their parental duties, but sth tells me you're armed and ready to lay out all kinds of mental gymnastics about how there are somehow more single fathers than mothers. The whole concept behind child support(which btw goes both ways not just for men) exists because of this and so does the colloquial term "d**db**t". But hey, I guess feminism suddenly gains such validity by men only when women are stuck raising kids alone. Noted.

If you don't like the show (and yes, not liking Lorelai means you don't like the show), just don't watch it. There's plenty of other entertainment available. Do you realise how little Draco Malfoy or Rey actually impact my life? I don't want to watch them so I don't watch the things they're in
I never understood Sookie and Jackson's relationship, seemed strange to me, he is soo unattractive and weird. And I had a dress like Rory once.

@@Septima274 To be fair it wasn't part of the storyline originally. The actress got pregnant in real life. They only thought of that as a way to explain it.
