Billy and I are the same generation raised in Glasgow. Went to many folk nights in the 70s with Billy and his contemporaries. Love that guy. Only person who ever made me pee my pants and hurt my ribs with laughter.God bless him.
My British grandma who was half deaf and never swore in her life, used to sit through hours of Billy turning the air blue onstage and she always said he was "a lovely boy."
“The man who sued God” is an excellent Australian film starring Billy Connolly. Well worth a look.
Great film. Raised many questions that the Established Church and Insurance Companies are yet to answer.
@@dmisso42 And never will.
Brilliant movie
My favourite Billy atoey is drinking the water in Ibiza.
Cracks me up every time.
yes he is a national treasure in both Scotland and the whole of the UK, and he does have parkinsons now
Met him one day just walking along the banks of the Avon River in Christchurch, NZ. He even told a joke to us. We were so impressed, we ended up going to his show that night.
Why wouldn't you?
He's a legend ... and a nice bloke.
A truly amazing guy. In addition to his vast comedy/acting legacy, he has published several collections of art in recent years. He is spending his retirement in Key West and I am sad that we will not get his impressions of this community
We love Billy Connelly in Scotland. He shows our Scottish sense of humour.
Billy has been to Australia several times, his wife is Australian! Always has such brilliant stories! He also plays the banjo! 😄🎸👍
Pamela was born in New Zealand but granted the family moved to Australia after!
😂😂😂 I'm from South Australia, and we can really appreciate a good "fart" joke😂
It’s always worth remembering his advice to, “Never trust a man who, when left alone in a room with a tea cosy, doesn’t try it on as a hat”.
THE BIG YIN.....a national treasure
You need to find the one he performs on stage about his visit to a proctologist.
I'm old enough to remember his legendary appearance on the UK chat show, Parkinson. He was told a rude joke before the show and his agent told him not to tell it on the TV...but he did. And it made his career. And once when on the show, he dropped a killer one-line gag about how he was received on his first attempt at a US tour that had the audience and other guests roaring with laughter. He's quite possibly the funniest comedian of all time, his stuff is just so good. He's also reduced Tom Cruise to hysterics on Parkinson, check it out on YT. BTW, this is from an HBO special hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, who 'introduced' America to him.
Gr8 words on Billy now. Thanks.❤
Billy Connolly is a comedy God !!
Watch Rhod Gilbert (a brilliant Welsh stand-up) doing his thing on electric toothbrushes. Hilarious.
100% a national treasure. He served his apprentiship in John Borwns shipyard in Clyebank, my Father did teh same and was a few years older. The stories from there are legendary
Nice T-shirt.
You need to react to ‘mood bracelets’ that he does omg amazing
I think there was a bit more to that routine, it ended early. The bit missing was when he said that no one could see the other guy curled up and so they all thought that the fart came from Billy .
An absolute comedy legend, great sentiment joel, and great content
Hi. I have subscribed to your channel. I enjoy your content. In one of your episodes, you mentioned that Nandos originated in Britian. Actually it originated in South Africa a suburb of Johannesburg called Rosetenville in 1986 which at the time had a very large Portuguese community. There are many stores here in SA. They make really good chicken. And it's very popular here.
Would be fun to have a ItsJPS livestream from #Nandos sometime soon. There are many locations nearby. 😉👍
I usually choose a seat that’s nowhere near a toilet if I can. However, three times now i e sat near to a toilet and I’ve been lucky.
I am old enough watch loads of him,i loved his gag about a jobbie wheker, or how ever it was spelt, if it wasn't gor your wellies where would you be,i will have a search of my lps sure i have few his records
All I'll say is that following that video, UA-cam tried to sell me a flight to Australia! 😂
😂😂😂😂
Its those spring onions, they will make your eyes water.
billy c the legend!!!
You really need to see his wildebeest video, it is hilarious and was voted one of the best jokes ever in UK comedy!
I’ve been on a plane when I’ve had to fart, and they never seem to smell! What a subject to discuss in public! 🤣🤣🤣
billy is great
My work colleague is currently on a full protein diet, I've just been subjected to two days of weapons grade farts, my sense of smell has now been destroyed
Singapore to Oz is only about 8 hours depending where you land.
Jps "complaining" about the plane - what about Mack , Will , Cameron surviving Jps' 1 Chip challenge disaster
🤔 Wonder if they're going to be in any future videos, it's been awhile?
Billy never gave an unfunny routine. Not one. God bless him. 🙋♂
Hmm, even when he appeared in the US sitcom #HeadOfTheClass ?
Some might disagree. 😁
@@adlad75 I was talking about his live stand-up routines, not some scripted TV sit-com rubbish.
@@jeffstevens4262 , Indeed... Perhaps he was looking for greater success in the US via sitcoms, but to date, his character, 'Billy MacGregor' only lasted 22 episodes with an additional 13 on 'Billy', the failed spin-off."
Hello Joel. Oh, duck!
On an overnight flight back from New York a few years ago, I was sat in a row of 4 seats. There was only one other person in that row, at the far end. This woman decided to get some sleep, which is perfectly understandable, but before laying down across the two seats at the end of the row, she took her shoes off. So I had her sweaty feet right in my face!
🤢
Good advice was once given to me about chatting with to neighbouring passengers on long distance flights. Start conversations near the end of flights, not at the beginning. That way you don't run out of things to talk about or get bored and then spend the rest of the flight with a long and slightly embarrasssed silence.
There is also the danger that you may get trapped for 8 hours discussing sales methods and production and supply logistics with a chatty junior sales executive from a well known American soft drinks company (as I was once, returning from the States).
No matter the age, race, class and background, all dudes find farts funny
Hahaha you can be sat on a Bus or Train and through the window you will always see some real strange idiot waiting to board the same Bus or Train and just pray that they don't end up sitting next to you, it's such a big relief when they don't and some other poor passenger gets lumbered with them for the entire journey.
Great comedian Billy Connolly !
Last i heard he gad a cottage i think on west of Scotland, he took up painting and other things,to distract him as i heard he has parkinsons
Every flight i have been on there were so many people farting.
ps B connolly spends a lot of time in OZ as he is wedded to a nice talented Aussie girl. I believe he had a bit of bad luck with his health lately. cheers
Billy’s wife was born in New Zealand which makes her a Kiwi
Who are funnier - the Scottish or Irish ?
Sadly, our Billy has Parkinson’s and dementia. So unfair. 😢
Has Joel ever addressed his bizarre and suspicious non-reaction to finding out he was 11% Jewish on his DNA test video?
You forgot to mention: He dead.
I mean he definitely isn't, he's in ill health but he's alive.
Billy is very much alive. Although he has health issues now you need to fact-check your information first.
Do you know something we don't?
Sorry. You're right. @@davidmalarkey1302
I worked with a Connolly show on stage in Perth in 1989.(?) Need to find my diary entries.
Great show, nice bloke. A bit dismissive of the backstage crew.
