For 40 years I've never understood why Lou Ann Barton is virtually unknown outside Texas. Of course, that's a pretty big place to be known in, but still, she's deserved far more.
The truth is, she doesn't have a very good voice. It's her swagger and charisma that defines her and makes her such a great performer. Unfortunately, swagger and charisma alone won't take any singer very far beyond the border of their home state if they don't have the outstanding vocal talent to match.
I don't know about that, dude. She sounds pretty damned good to me. If all you see in her is swagger and charisma, then I'd say you don't know what you're talking about. Fact is, the music business is a mostly a sham, and the cream doesn't necessarily rise to the top.
Rome Inn, run by Cboy Parks, great man who loved music, influenced many including Wertheimer at Continental Club..was great to bounce over to see great music at the beginning.
@@chronicbanana4665 Many times/many cities! Over the top cool.....'specially when there were 10 people in the club like that time @ The Mariner bar in Marigny, New Orleans.
