160 ml whole milk
1 tablespoon orange zest
75 g brown sugar
275 g honey
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon*
½ teaspoon ground ginger*
½ teaspoon ground cloves*
½ teaspoon ground cardamom*
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1 teaspoon salt
1.5 teaspoon baking powder
1.5 teaspoon baking soda
250-275 g wheat flour
*Alternatively, use approx. 2 teaspoons of gingerbread spice mix (or similar)
