I would also like to point out that the loonies are great people. at one point I had every game they owned in a purple bag theyalso sold and I left it on an airplane(totally unquestionably my fault). They found out and offered to replace it at their cost. It was not their problem but they took care of my in a way I would have never dated even ask. I'm a LL fan for life.

I recently had easily the most pleasant customer support experience of my life with Alison, their customer support person. Everyone in their tiny team are truly amazing people.

I agree: I own the Pyramid Arcade and Zendo, but I love these compact little products. On one hand I'll have more Pyramid pieces in my collection to play or design with, but I also think I'll be more likely to pull one of these off the shelf or take to events due to their size and accessibility. I hope that these bring a wider audience to the Pyramid system because I think it's a nice tactile interesting component. It's not nearly iconic as the meeple yet, but it deserves to be.

Aren't all these games a part of Pyramid Arcade already?

Three of the boxes (4 of the 5 games) are: Nomids is the one that is not included in Pyramid Arcade. If you own Pyramid Arcade you do not "need" any of these, however they do serve as a nice way to obtain more pyramids for games like Zendo or other additional games that can be found online.
There is a chart on the kickstarter that indicates what combination of games will give you the sets of colors you are looking for. The silver Pyramids in Martian Chess are new while the game rules are also in the Arcade Box. If you own pyramids and want strictly new content, Nomids is a "new" game and Martian Chess is a new color of Pyramid. ($20 per game $40 if you want both, and the whole Quartet will run you $80)
You can also obtain sets of the Green Kickstarter Exclusive Pyramids from this campaign if that interests you. Also they said there will be the ability to add other games from their catalog in the pledge manager after the campaign ends. (This should include Pink Hijinks if you are a Pyramid color completionist.)
The intention with this campaign seems to be to give a cheaper starting point for new players to the pyramid system without having to purchase the whole Arcade right away, and for Pyramid Arcade and Zendo owners, or game designers to add more Pyramids to their collection.

I agree 100% with Jeremy. This product it's not entirely necessary, but it's not unwelcome either. I personally owned two copies of pyramid arcade on top of many stashes I had before pyramid arcade. I probably won't get the quartet but for somebody new to pyramids it's a nice starting point. $20 is a good price point to get in. It will also be a must for completionists. In my opinion Looney Labs has had with pyramids was not having a pretty package. They have really up their game in the last couple years. These new boxes are something you can be proud to have on your shelf. Unlike my homemade duct taped zendo box from years past. I mean I was/am proud of that but I'm a little odd.

Pyramid Arcade seems awesome, but it's pretty expensive. I'm considering buying this $20 Homeworlds box instead. The Homeworlds one comes with the most pyramids and the Pyramid Arcade rulebook is available online for free so it would be easy to play a lot of the other games in the Arcade with it for a much lower price.
If you have the money, you should buy Pyramid Arcade in full, but I have student loans, it's hard for me to justify spending $85+ on a board game

For a moment I thought this had something to do with Parks and Recreation.
