@janier234 so you're basing it off your personal assessment and not something he said? I wasn't being condescending or a jerk, I'm genuinely curious. I know his relationship with his real daughter is non existant and by his choice. So to hear something like this would be surprising.

@@gesarts3625 @gesarts3625 hey you're absolutely right. Maybe it is my personal assesment and observation of how that scene played out. I dunno, I just tend to see things like this and can tell that it's not acting. It's obvious that acting out this scene with his fake daughter must of got to him. It's just clearly obvious at that 2 minute mark.
I've seen plenty of Jackie's films and his emotional acting when he needed to do it. Seeing what he just emoted there.. That was absolutely geniune. It's just obvious that something strut a cord with him. Huge possibility he prob wished he would of been there for his real daughter and actually been able to share that moment with her. Who knows...
Still, only point I was trying to make was that his emotions here where absolutely real and geniune. What was going through his head??? Who knows, knowing his personal life and what kind of person he is, will just cause one to speculate. But as far as what he just displayed here. Yeah, that was absolutely real and whatever transpired during that scene or played out in his head really got to him.

@@janier234 fair enough. It was a really touching scene. I had me go down a rabbit hole to see if him and his real daughter were on better terms than what I had known to be true in the past, so you're correct in your assessment of the scene. It did seem to come from a real place, but I wasn't sure if you knew something I did not. I am a huge fan of his and would've loved to hear something positive about him and his daughter's relationship.

A lot of ppl don’t realize how immortalized GREAT Jackie is. I get emotional watching this part everytime. From Bruce lee to Jet li to Jackie Chan. He’s the reason why I wanted to do crazy ass stunts as a kid no matter how dangerous it was. Here I am 25 years old watching my OG Jackie Chan slowly declining. This is one of the hardest things to witness for any child.
I remember when my mother died I didn't have the time to cry at all. Being from a patriarchy, it didn't matter that I was just 17 then, the youngest sibling. I had to take all the responsibilities my mother had taken on herself after my father died. I couldn't break down crying and I knew that. For a month straight after she was gone, I didn't cry. And then, one-day I was cleaning her things out when I found this photo album of her. It started when she was around my age and before I flipped to the last page, I started bawling. Watching her get older with every page and new photos finally broke me.

You bet there were tears from myself, my mum, and my dad because I'm travelling 5500 miles one away. I had mixed emotions from the excitement of a new life to sadness from mourning my now old life. My mum said to my fiancé "my job as a mother of taking care of her is over, and its your turn now as her husband." And placed my hand in his.
This movie hit so close to home because my family is so important to me that I just ugly cried watching this movie, and watching this scene again just brings all those feelings back..
