My own theory: Anna and I have "hung out" before, and I was (secretly) recording it then, too. Maybe not with a GoPro, but something not as conspicuous. Anna and I did something, or I made her do something, which was all on tape. I uploaded it online, without Anna's knowledge, and it spread. Anna eventually found out and ended up killing herself over it because of sheer embarrassment. For revenge, Anna wanted to "hang out" with me again. I agreed, not knowing she already knows (knew) what I had done. Her agenda was just to lure me back to her turf, where she died (and currently being eaten by maggots), so she can kill me from beyond the grave. The tape (this gameplay) gets broken by Anna's spirit after my death, but was eventually recovered, albeit with horrible bitrate. The recovered tape spreads and many people end up watching (playing) it. The end. The dev has his own explanation and it doesn't match up with mine. His explanation is more on the technology side of things, which makes more sense given the game's title. Oh well. heh
