    The bike is awsome, but $16k is way too high.

    Janus just announced lower priced base models they call Origin. You can add whatever features you think you need.

    • @FoxParasyte
      @FoxParasyte  8 місяців тому

      probably the wind noise is what you’re talking about.
      i’ve since purchased a better muff for the gopro that should help with that

    Looks great fun for the experience, however not a normal day to day ride.

      @FoxParasyte  10 місяців тому

      Out of curiosity why's that? I know i could daily ride one of these no problem.

      @@FoxParasyte from a sv650 now I'm on an enfield hunter, i like old style motorcycles.
      There is a big difference between commuting (i only use motorcycles for the last 30+ years), 80s UK bike person.
      I used to dream of the old style raw experience.
      Edit and it looks great 👍

      Oh sure. I have a classic 350 and it's worlds different than most other bikes I've owned and or rode.
      I love the old school no frills ride. I have a dislike for bikes with a shit ton of expensive electronics that distract a rider from what's most important

    The 450 sounds horrible when he slows down in gear!!
    What's up with that?

      Yeah I'm not really a fan of the exhaust to be honest.
      Apparently a company makes a better exhaust system for these bikes.

    I do love the look of these bikes and I know they are expensive because they are handmade etc. However, a chinese knock off engine? I'll take a swerve mate.

    • @FoxParasyte
      @FoxParasyte  5 місяців тому +2

      The engine doesn't bother me honestly. It's an Italian engine that is assembled in China that's modified over the original engine.
      My thing is, all of our cars, bikes whatever. Outsource parts or even the assembly all over the world.
      Harley and Indian dont use even close to 100% American parts.
      And my german and american car were both built and manufactured in Mexico. I totally get it being put off by the engine. I was at one point myself.

      @FoxParasyte The thing is, if it's made to a standard that is enforced by rigorous quality standards, then I don't care where it's made. My Volvo might be made in China. They have a factory there, after all. My Royal Enfield classic 350 signals us made in India, and it's brilliant! My issue with Chinese stuff is if it's a purely owned Chinese company, their standards tend to be pretty bad. Look at their tools? Their military hardware is bloody awful! Thank christ! Still do you see what I mean? I'm new to motorcycling. 58. Got my full licence last year. The hoops you have to jump through to get a bike licence here in the UK is ridiculous! Anyway, legally, until I passed my full test, I could only ride a 125cc. So, me being clueless, I saw a fantastic bike on UA-cam. Got great reviews. It was called a Mutt Hilts. Made in China assembled in England. Cost me three and a half grand. Brand new! Absolute piece of shit! Owned it for about 8 months. Spent over 4 of them getting fixed. I refused to take it back in the end. Terrible quality! The electrics were shocking! I learnt a hard lesson there. One of them was, don't trust reviews on UA-cam. Most of them are being paid for, and you won't slag off a company that is paying you. It was humiliating to be honest. The dealership finally bought it off me. I lost over 50% on it, and they were doing me a favour. The resale value is nothing and dealers won't take them as a trade in. There's alot of companies out there doing the same thing. The Chinese also buy old British names and sell absolute crap. It's a scam! I wouldn't touch a Chinese brand bike or a Chinese knock off engine for anything. I'd rather walk. At least I know I'd get there without a tow truck! 😀😄😄👍👍

      I get you completely.
      My understanding is the Engine on the 450 is from SWM an Italian company that's been around for quite some time. China assembles the engines with whoever from SWM going through quality control. Which i believe is far different than their 250cc models. That are made purely in China, brought here to the Janus warehouse, modified by Janus with whatever parts to improve the quality, Then put on the bikes.
      Also i'm 100% in agreement with reviews on UA-cam. A lot of people are paid sponsorships with whatever that brand or product is. Bothers me on a personal level because i've had companies want me to make videos on their stuff and the very moment i say "if i do this I'm being unbiased as possible" they say no thanks. Very few companies allow criticism because they're afraid of how it will affect sales. My response is, if I'm not honest... what credibility do i have. I have several emails that i can prove just how shady these companies are with reviews.
      For example I kind of ripped Janus on my original video many years ago. They made changes to the bikes in that time which addressed my complaints (not that i had anything to do with it) Now I love them. Yeah the engine origin sucks but it's impossible for them as of now to go Japanese and laughably unlikely to have an American engine made and manufactured for them... without them of course being in massive debt and the bikes costing several thousands more.
      There is a dealer out in Cleveland (hint hint) that uses Chinese engines on their American bikes.... but the general perception of them is very very scammy.

    • @jez6208
      @jez6208 5 місяців тому

      @@FoxParasyte unsurprisingly, I've never heard of the Cleveland based company. Just googled them. I bet they keep pretty quiet about the origin of their products. 😄

      @@jez6208 I don't really get what their deal is. A guy i know bought one of their bikes, something went wrong with it. Was under warranty so you'd figure it wouldn't be an issue. Apparently by the time they got the part they claimed it was after the warranty expired so they cant fulfil it without the customer paying. Thought that was very sketchy of them
