Nice fix. I enjoy very much watching you get things working and or back all most like new with some love and paint great video always keep them coming.
I have a MF245 that we took the loader off of. Its got a really nice look with the custom exhaust and the perkins 3 cylinder 😊 sounds soo smooth, best little thing to grade the drive way and spray the orchard
It might be the wrong color but sometimes those things are worth their weight in gold and don't cost that much to keep around, another great show man good job keep up the good work
Should’ve painted that manifold red before putting it back on, would’ve added a solid 8 hp for sure. 👍 Wonder if that’s how the original engineer at JD explained how that syncro transmission would work to the executives before they put them into production???? Lol 😆
I am very happy to see a well educated gentleman pronounce this tractor brand’s name appropriately!!! Not once but twice!! “JUNK DEERE” and “PIECE OF SHIT”!!!! 😅😅😅😅😅
Another Great Video and item off the list. Never been a huge fan of the little Deere tractors. The 3010,3020,4010,4020 are pretty good and hard to beat. The Synchro shift always made me scratch my head the first few times driving one, spent a bunch of time on a 4020 Powershift. I think Deere and other manufacturers could sell there popular models from the 60 and 70’s today. Have a good weekend and Thanks for the videos.
Dont worry about the purebred snobs.... My father for years had mixed bloodlines.... ran Deeres,Massey, and Minneapolis Molines.... nothing wrong with em as long as they earn their keep... miss the 1100... wish you could get a 285 with the massey quick attach loader... That is a definite improvement!!! One thing of the list 2 go on!! I like mf industrial machinery. I have a mf400 crawler and an mf40 digger. Its not a big machine but it can definitely do the job of a bigger machine. I am hoping to get an mf25 teliporter this year but they are getting hard to find! Looking forward to the next instalment and I didn't even mention green! #%%@× 😊
Excellent video JT :) also I knew the manifold gaskets need replacement & queit it down most always have clean shine before installing on 90 ' degrees surface and high temperature silicone put both sides of for tight seal plus bolts studs sometimes no always need change to ! Also 2010 John Deere tractor loader one does yours have Zenith type why ask because they sure trouble free and easy to rebuild one when problem with and fuel saver too! Plus last long time and plus easy to drain to on tap when dirt in them ! I know my late dad & late Uncle had one 1950 Cockshutt COOP 40 gas motor Buta , 1968 McCormick- International 105C combine gas motor with Farmall tractor motor no problem with ever just cleaning up!
I got a 2010 with a loader and it just sits in the woods ... now im a deere guy and even i don't want to deal with it... i plan to use it for parts for other tractors
J T do you remember when massy ferguson on their own was almost out of business. Agco bought massy and Allis Chalmers , they dropped Allis Chalmers and pushed massy. I think that is the only reason massy still around. If you had spent as many trouble free hours on a John Deere as I have you would know John Deere is the better tractor!
John Deere wasn't necessarily a better tractor when the bad years hit, they just had better management and they were bigger which helped them hold on a little longer and were able to keep control of their company. Those years of consolidation killed a lot of the best tractors ever made in North America, to our loss! Thank you JT for helping to save some of them!!! Looking forward to the rebuild on the 1800!
I have always felt the same waI was a ford and a Massey guy but the neighbors had JD tractors so I drove a few. The only thing you have going for you is that your 2010 is a row crop my neighbors was a 2020 utility and that was the most uncomfortable tractor ever driven until I got a MF 275 utility and we tried to use it for field work that turned out to be the most uncomfortable tractor I ever drove. Not made for 10 hour days for sure. So that JD you have has the best feature row crop.
the best tractor is the one that you love to hate and keep fixing so it is ready to sell 😂 Just like your child's pet... The Deere machines i've worked on are pretty easy to field repair and consideration for access is usually made to the design of neighboring parts--that crook in the steering arm, for example. I noticed when you assembled the gasket fell off, but you caught it. perhaps in the time before JT when it was being put together the gasket fell and no one cared. the rest of the gaskets looked good from my armchair so anything is possible.
I had to replace the exhaust manifold gaskets on my Case 1294 because the nuts backed out on cylinder 4's exhaust port, the local dealership didn't sell the gaskets separately and instead with a headgasket kit so i cut out new gaskets by tracing the details from the manifold and the ports on the head, took it for a spin as soon as i got home today and for a ride, the new gaskets i cut out are 2mm and not 1mm which the old ones were but they will seal better, as for the test it sounds a lot more quiet and smooth than when the gasket was leaking, hopefully they will last a long time 🙂🍺
Good Morning J T. Another thing checked off the list. Way back in my youth we had a brand new 1010 jd. It was a good tractor, just small. Have a Great weekend, are you going to grill? 😅
Hey, JT I know they’re expensive as heck, and you probably don’t even need one on your farm in the first place, but I would love to see you get an old hit n miss engine of some sort, non running of course 😂. That would definitely please me, although your channel already does. I’m just saying it’d be nice if you had an ol hit-n-miss engine
The manifold job seemed to go relatively easy despite not having much room to work and no heat. Luck the studs didnt break off or strip out. The front end of that JD looks a little light made for loader work. An industrial with full hydraulics would be a big step up. I have 3 cyl. gas Fords which have worked well for me for the past 20 years. A MF would be great also!
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 the solid front end is alot stronger. You would really benefit having a hydraulic bucket rather than trip type. Alot safer too IMHO. Cost a little more but you get what you pay for as always. MF had some good ones!
Tons of these 2010 deeres around Michigan and there cheap so why not buy one and use it until it’s wore out. I’ve found a 5020 Deere around me and was wondering what you think it’s worth not running and setting outside for at least 10 years.
Basically what he said. If you can roll the engine over that helps, but anything I buy that’s been sitting I offer scrap plus tires. I got my 5010 for basically that. And the tires weren’t that good lol
