People who are saying this interview is awkward have never watched a Killers interview. I'm actually surprised Brandon said something. I guess that's what makes them real.
Why they are so awkward and maybe unpolite in interviews but they are so good in front of 60000 people in a concert! Don't tell me that Brandon is shy! That is impossible!
It's very obvious to see that Brandon has some sort of social anxiety. It's the way he stands there not knowing where to put his arms and hands, always shifting from one foot to the other, the concerned-looking expression on his face, barely talking, just nodding... That's pretty much what I do every time somebody talks to me, that's how I know. Those interviews must be extremely exhausting for him.

@@sergiodottori484 he says he still gets nervous before going on stage, and even more so now than when they first started. Conversations are also very different than going on stage and doing what you do best for thousands of adoring fans that are excited to see you.
My husband sings and plays guitar, and used to perform pretty often. He dislikes public speaking and would not enjoy being interviewed. I asked him how it was possible to have mild social anxiety about most things but love performing and he said the two things are completely different. I agree with some of the other comments that Brandon Flowers seems to have some kind of social anxiety. He’s an absolutely brilliant front man and I love his energy and his voice. “Shy” may not be the right word, but it’s absolutely possible that he’s got significant anxiety.
Not back then. Brandon definitely diverted from his Mormon upbringing for a few years when The Killers first made it big. It wasn't until getting married and having kids that he adopted the faith once again.
Everyone saying Brandon is so awkward it seems like he is politely listening to the person talking. Also, if that's where he grew up, lots of times that's a hard place to return to.
I am a huge fan of The Killers, as well as an avid CBS Sunday Morning watcher, both since I was a young boy. That being said, I never knew if you combined the two they just wouldn't mesh. I don't know if it was the correspondents angle with the story, maybe Sunday Morning doesn't know anything about The Killers nor Brandon Flowers music. Oh well. Maybe you can do an interview w/ Mark Stoermer (Bass Guitarist) sometime else once ya'll caught up to speed, it'll be nice, interviewing him doing his own music projects would be nice.
Frankie Velasco I agree with you, this interview seemed super-awkward to me. Just look at the body language! The guys didn’t know what to say, and the reporter looked like she was looking for an escape route. Just uncomfortable.
You can’t really blame them. They never get new or interesting questions. Brandon has repeatedly said he doesn’t want to answer the question about influences (cuz it’s backfired on him) and he still always gets it. This girl didn’t give them anything.
I didn't get that sense. Its a house he (Ronnie) used to live in and they practiced there in the early days of band. New owners have changed it, and it is just a house to them really, not some magical shrine to their past. It probably felt weird to them for her to be focusing on the house, they have moved on so much since that time.

We're saying it's awkward because of her bad questions and dead air

Totally. Here is an interview of Brandon about his faith and how he has been able to balance his life. ua-cam.com/video/HxWAnJhdxbA/v-deo.html
I love how bad they are in interviews lol. These guys are so shy that it just show how big they are when they are playing.
brandon is such a nerd, i absolutely love him

he can't be anxious when he is used to performing in front of 60000 viewers.

@@sergiodottori484 well yes he can. Michael Hutchence was the same.
The most relatable band I’ve ever seen lmao
They are definitely more charismatic on stage!
oof this is such an awkward interview
What do you expect with Ronnie & Brandon.
I wouldn't say it's awkward. The Killers are all just pretty introspective people in my opinion.
they're awkward in all interviews, lit on stage though
"Wild times?" Brandon is a devout Mormon, so I doubt it! 😂

NESherv kids wow that's stupid. I hope to god he has a dog

Yeah especially because he is way older it might be making him sad or feel disoriented or something.

The reporter wasn’t prepared.
I need an emotional support Ronnie in my life.
Ronnie owns the interviews.

how did it backfire?
Why is Brandon always wearing his wife’s shirts?
David Andrews lmao
Wait what???????
Love the band but... props to Kristine for powering through this _awkwrrrd_ interview or whatever this was supposed to be 😄
We need moooree
I love how awkward this is
Man, Kristine Johnson is a hottie
“It was in better shape” 🏡 Home prices just plummeted!
Hahaha they are so high
It is as if they really had never been there before. As if this was made up. Strange interview

I could have done a better interview.

Awkward...
she looks like she is in pain..lol
Masons
such a boring band. love the music, but so boring
just very introverted, don't be rude
@MsTriangle how is that rude? I love them and the music. Just have no energy while being interviewed
