Siri, please google why Brandon Flowers is so damn dashing and handsome
I can't think of anything funny to say, so I'm gonna say that it's because he's mormon
StarMintaka he has a very adorable personality too and the way he laughs kills me 😂
StarMintaka Have you ever watched him debate his Mormon faith? Its pretty depressing to watch. Not because he's religious, no judgement thats his thing, but its like watching a pro play basketball against a grade schooler.
Seriously! He should consider performing in Vegas when he reaches Silver Fox status.
Secret Ingredient is Mormon
Killers fans being so excited about how comfortable and talkative Brandon was in this interview restored my broken soul. Well done, Seth!
America is really missing out on one of their best American bands. Go to any other country and The Killers are huge there!
Rae Daw killers are massive in the US lol
I think they are pretty famous in US, they aren't going unnoticed.
you idiot lol there huge here
They are still a big band in the U.S. The main thing is that Alternative Rock, and Rock in general, is no longer part of the Top 40 in Popular music anymore. It is mostly dominated by dance music and rap/hip-hop.
But they trashed Trump. :(
So good looking, so awesome on stage, yet so nervous in interviews. Love this guy
It took me years before I realised that The Killers weren't a British band. They're definitely the best non-British British band in history :P
GunsOnBungees A news arcticle said they are the best british band to come from america.
that's because their sound is largely influenced by the new wave British bands in the 80s. Even the name, The Killers, is from a New Order music video for the song Crystal.
They were first signed to a British label and lived in the UK for a few years in the early 2000s. Then by 2005 with the explosion of the Indie scene in the UK it seemed as though they were just another UK Indie band who had routes in the Beatles, and Bowie, then New Wave, then Britpop.
Same haha. When I heard his accent I was stunned!
At the start they sang with a London accent
He is ridiculously handsome.
Even his speaking voice is gorgeous. ♥️
Mariel Quevedo agreed
Totally agree
I know a million dudes from the throughout the American Southwest that sound just like him. He has an accent I like to call, "White Gridiron Football Jock". It's similar to the accent of Canadian Hockey Players (Eg Letterkenny's Reilly and Jonesy) but slightly more Texan and less sports based slang. To be clear, it's a very American Middle Class and Suburban accent but it's well understood by everyone else here since we all know that type of person (which is why the high school bully jock you see in movies is so cringey because the accent is not quite right).
@@luke_cohen1 I think it’s more of a working class southwestern accent. One of the lesser known accents like Pennsylvanian.
@@MrVisde Jocks in this part of the country are usually working class kids due to all the diversity. These aren't your upper crust players from Rutgers. Rather, these are the hard working scrappers you see on shows like Hard Knocks.
Imagine being at their first show hearing the first ever Mr. Brightside performance
caesar the ape I was there. I was there and I remember it like it was yesterday, there was very tall grass and I heard a man yelling “don’t run into the tall grass!” Next thing I remember velociraptors we’re jumping and mauling my friends. It was a bad day, but yeah at least I got to hear the first ever Mr. Brightside performance, although now that I think about it I was listening to The Killers on my Walkman while it all went down and I was losing a lot of blood from a raptor biting my neck. 🤔
@@grinningshine9631 why does that sound like you were in click & drag
What ? I have no idea, I forgot I even wrote this, I think I was drunk. Reading it through a second time it’s not as funny as I thought, I let “The Lost World” down 😟
@@grinningshine9631 it was definitely as funny as you thought it was
There's a video that seems close. Search "The Killers Live Castle Mr Brightside" There are people talking over the song 😂
The Killers are actually the best band of this century. Their albums are masterpieces, and their songs and videos are so awesome, that they have inspired, moved, and even saved countless people's lives. Only a Killers' fan would understand that. Yes, the best band of this century.
Well said! Apart from some songs, The Killers isn’t for everyone but for people like you, me and many others they are literally the best band of this century.
I understand 👍
I remember 2004. Watching Mr Brightside on repeat. Thinking this is the handsomest handsome man. Ever. Still is. Dammit.
Sam’s Town is one of the best album of the millennium.
Sams town is their best in my opinion. Hitting in all cylinders, creatively and musically.
Hot fuss and Sam’s town are 1 and 1A
Yes, I agree. The fruition of a group of very talented musicians into real creative synergy.
Hot Fuss seems very of it's time whenever I listen to it. All albums after are timeless with Sam's Town heralding the magic to come.
Agree Sams Town is one of the best albums ever. I cant believe it didnt get better critical reception.
Sams town literally saved my life back in the day.
His voice when he sings "I never" at the end of "Mr. Brightside" is incredible! His speaking voice honestly sounds nothing like it.
I think it’s bc he’s a little older now. In my opinion his voice doesn’t really sound that different from his singing voice but that’s just what I hear.
right? he is so soft spoken sounds a lil old timey and rural.
His speaking voice has always sounded like that. I listened to the interview he and the rest of the band had just before Sam’s town was released and I was honestly really surprised with how almost nervous he sounded. Honestly, he’s an amazing really down to earth guy
Their first and second album are still the best.
The bassline in "Jenny was a friend of mine" is still legendary.
I’d say if it can’t be Hot Fuss Battlborn is the next best thing but Sam’a town is close
Just listened to that song for the first time in years. 29 now and damn I slept on that song
Super talented, classy, kind and handsome. Forever a fan.
Sarv their new album is great, check out the Killers Album Battle Born. It's amazing
And his solo album is one of the best albums ever! 80's beat and Bruce's vibe.
Great to see Brandon being so comfortable in an interview. Hopefully many more to come :)
Seth has cracked the code to opening up Brandon!
What do you mean dude?! the eyeliner look was ICONIC.💖
Winter Flower so hot!
I’ve never seen Brandon this open and not shy! Love it 😊 Seth always bringing out the best of people when he interviews.
Words can’t explain how much I appreciate and admire the honesty and class that this man brings to the industry.
I really hope Brandon finds Trevor. That's such a beautiful story. Great to see Brandon acknowledge such a special person
I love hearing artists talk about their first shows, its really reassuring as someone in their early 20s that truly, no one knows what the hell their doing when they start doing it
Bri Koala Preach. Literally had the same exact thought. I’m either a massive failure or in the same boat as The Killers.
@@jordanfash6205 most likely a failure.
Years later we all still freak out when we hear the first few beats of Mr. Brightside. That's the song of the generation. Thank you so much for this interview! Great questions and very detailed answers.
for me, it's 'When you were young'
Kinda surprised that Mr. Brightside was one of their first songs. That is one catchy debut song!
Chas O.T.E that's actually very well documented in their lore. I think it was Ronni that had a cassette of the opening chords that he had worked on several years before even meeting Brandon and Brandon has a story how he listened to it in, I think it was maybe a Subaru he drove at the time, and being in love with it immediately.
Almost correct. It was Dave (the guitarist) who had the cassette of the chords. Ronnie (the drummer, wouldn't join the band for another year after Brandon and Dave met). And it was Brandon's 1992 Geo Metro that he first played it not a Subaru.
How ever when they first released the song it flopped massively then they re-released it a few years letter and now it’s one of the biggest and best most popular songs on the planet
Mr. Brightside has been in the UK top 100 for 15 years!!!
Claudio Starri oh my god you aren’t kidding... I just checked! That’s insane
Hot Fuss is an incredibly great album through and through. What a way to debut.
He did so great in this interview! Why do I feel like a proud mom? Also, Seth asked incredible questions!!
god damn it, he’s still so crush worthy
I think he’d make a good film star actually. I could imagine him in a lead role for a dystopian sci-fi movie.
I love hearing Brandon talk. He has great things to say and sounds so classy. Of course, I'm also enjoying seeing him more at ease while still keeping that hint of shyness😍. No matter what, he always makes my heart flutter!
so handsome, sophisticated and talented. I always say, the ones who don't appreciate and understand The Killers music, does not understand music. I'm so happy their not mainstream, still keeping it real and i Love that.
Honestly, I could listen to him all day. His voice is just... omg
Brandon flowers is the man. Super successful but extremely humble.
Brandon's voice is so soft like a musical instrument
he is so charming and honest
He's The Man!
"The stars are blazing like rebel diamonds cut out of the sun" I mean what good lyrics!!!
The killers are just a underrated band. They are absolutely amazing!
What a great interview, amazing group so happy they are getting more attention
Yeah, he finally did a talk show!
yeah, it's great when these underground, underappreciated bands get their share of the lime light.
Dave Danger The Killers don't exactly qualify as underground at this point.
popeye697 I think it was a joke
I've heard that their album 'Hot Fuss' is pretty nice
So humble and honest! Very rare traits to come by in the music/Hollywood industry. Probably one of the reasons it drew me to making them one of my all-time favourite bands.
Brandon is an incredibly talented singer and songwriter and completely underrated
Who thumbed this down? That's the most open I've ever seen Flowers on TV 👍🏻
Born and raised in Vegas. This was definitely what it was like in the mid 2000’s.
If you think The Killers sound great just wait til you see them live 😍
Just did and it was incredible in every way.
Brandon rocked the guyliner 😍
@Cynthia Erivo what are you on about?
It always amaze me, how I got a crush on Brandon since I was 10 years old, now I'm 24 and still thinks he's the bomb.
Love this. Well done Brandon!
#findtrevor
Rosianna Halse Rojas I thought about tweeting this at you but figured you'd be on top of it!
Yup!
@@rosianna He's my brother.
That love at the end for Mr.Trevor ....wow! To have someone that change your view on life, and to tell you that anything is possible ( your dreams). its so powerful. Get out there and make your dream come true. Much love.
Glad to see he’s not shy! You could say he’s “coming out of [his] cage”
Finally, I watch Brandon Flowers on the Sofa. I love this kind of stories and The Killers in America are so underrateds. Mr.Brightside is the biggest hits of all time and in 20 more years it will be a classic. Great job guys.
This comment section is so wholesome. I love it & Brandon
How the Killers are not as revered in the US as they are in the rest of the world is beyond me.. The are headed for the hall of fame for sure
Damm his smile!!
Such a humble, grateful and very talented man.
My mans got Benjamin Button syndrome. Gets younger every year.
IDiggPattyMayonnaise he's got some gray coming in, when you look at close up photos taken recently, but it just shows how well he is going to continue to age. Hardest working Mormon boy in Rock and Roll!
Brett Cooper yeah, makes me sad for some reason. But he really is aging great
No he's not. He's more chubby in the killers early years. Cute baby
@@rainbowruby8394 Yeah, that is why he looks so freaking hot now....not an ounce of fat on him and his rounder face has gone away.... now he is on a par with George Clooney!!
I think hes got a bit too thin in the last 5 years. Not that he looks bad. A lot of mens faces get a bit more cut/hardened and better looking with age--Robert Downey Jr is a good example.
I've always been a fan of the killers but I've never realized how much of a sweetheart Brandon flowers was until now 😍😍
My favourite British band from the US🤪Love them👏🔥
I love interviews with musicians, which are oddly rare on late night tv. Thank you. :)
Brandon Flowers seems so genuine.
He is so sweet and lovely!
Brandon's so relaxed!! This is a great interview with him. He's such a nice guy.
I disagree. I think he looked great with eyeliner :)
Yes! He was so pretty as Brandiva
Joseph Smith just because it’s on a dude doesn’t change that it’s eyeliner, and that’s fine lol
He was so pretty in somebody told me. I miss the make up
Lip gloss, too. He pulls it off.
agree. he is so awesome in many ways
I always thought The Killers were an English band too, until I heard them speak. He was fantastic at Glastonbury recently with great reviews in all the main newspapers. I sure hope he comes back in 2020
Ble
maaan, brandon is a class act. really passionate about music and amazing live too, oh and kudos to seth for making the interview super interesting
What a guy! Seen The Killers live twice and they didn't disappoint!
The first time I saw The Killers live was with Travis, at a Festival in Buenos Aires.
that's awesome.
What a legend!
I grew up with the Killers and I'm now nearly 19!
The Killers are my literal childhood and (they) hold so much nostalgia 😊💖
I absolutely love these 'made it all themselves from scratch' stories. Very rare in popular music these days.
The killers are the best rock band in the last 20yrs!
Dallas Gonzalez tycho and take impala are so up there aswell
Well. One of them, sure.
Gabe McCoy sure no question, killers are my favorite 😁
I'd say MuteMath is right alongside them.
Mufti Hossain The strokes and arcade fire does..
His solo stuff is great also. I may even like it better. "Clock on the Wall was Tickin'" is a masterpiece.
One of the most down to earth rock singers
Seeing Brandon flower my Heart beat....duk..❣️. Duk❣️..!!🌼💓💓💓
From India 28yr old Girl 🌼still loving him 2020
Such a good conversation! Brandon is so humble here
omg, he looks SO GOOD in eyeliner! He's nuts. :)
Jamie Lawrence He knows.. he knows 😂
Brandon seems so wholesome. Just a genuine, kind & charming individual with an insane talent for songwriting and such a beautiful voice.
As a Brit, I loved that he mentioned covering a Travis song at their first gig. He's right to say they channel the influence of those bands (like Oasis etc) & give it a Vegas shimmer.
Love Travis...shocked to hear they covered "Side"
He’s so handsome and humble 🥰
Don't shoot me Santa - was my introduction to The killers...
And since then I have only gone deeper down the rabbit hole 😎
One of the best songwriters around.
Just found The Killers during shelter in place. Caution performed from a bathroom. Amazing. This band has a great sound and, based on this interview, a pretty good story to go with it. Liking The Killers.
Jo Bennett I’m very happy for you :)
their battle born record and the wonderful wonderful album are my personal favorites. Also Be Still is a beautiful song. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of their stuff. And Brandon Flowers' solo album was great too.
I was like 3 or 4 when Hot Fuss came out, and my mom and aunts were ALWAYS playing it. My first musical memory I love that album with all my heart. Favorite album of all time
i remember seeing the killers perform mr brightside for some mtv live show back in the day and falling in love with brandon flowers at like 7 years old. ive been a fan for all these years and loved his solo stuff what a guy.
What a great self-effacing and self deprecating person Brandon Flowers is.So refreshing for someone to be as down to earth as he is.Great interview.
He seems so sweet and humble! And hes such a great storyteller!!! (Swoon)
This is my favorite band of all time
Check out his solo albums they’re great too
Ronnie’s album is amazing too
@@breezyvonweezy723 I gotta check that out.
calvinzhobbes1977 it’s called Big Talk!
I saw them live in Victoria, Australia and they completely blew my mind.
I love this! The Killers are an awesome band & he is a killer front man.
How can we love someone sooo much although we have never met them? Brandon lives in his own very special place in my heart 🥰
Seth is genuinely such a good interviewer I love watching his show
He’s perfect.
Honestly.
I think Battleborn is hugely underrated even by Brandon. I absolutely LOVE every song on it!
I DID NOT EXPECT BRANDON TO BE HERE !!! THE KILLERS ARE MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BAND!!!!!
Oh my god, Under The Gun (my FAVORITE KILLERS song) and The Killers on the very first show!?
So sincere and down to earth and man I connect to his music
So underrated! One of the best singers in the world in my opinion 💖
he is so beautiful!!😍😍😍
He’s got such a gentle voice, and I love it. 😍
Look for their 2019 performance at Glastonbury. Just brilliant. The UK loves them. They were influenced by our music here
I can’t bring myself to watch it because I was AT Glastonbury that year and didn’t see them. They were the “secret” band and I wasn’t on twitter or whatever. I had even said earlier that day “I wish someone I actually cared about was playing this year, like the Killers”. Live and learn... oh well, at least I’ve seen them other times.
Seen these live in Cardiff, Dublin,Swansea etc Amazing band that put on a real show for real people.
This is one of my favorite bands. Have loved them from the start. What an awesome story.
What a humble, handsome dude ☺️
I love his way with words.
I feel like America doesn't appreciate some of their artists as much as they should. I'm in Canada and The Killers are massive here. They headline often. Love em, first saw them in 2005 with Metric, another great band with a similar vibe.
Wow, Metric! Damn, really bringing back my memories of listening to Gold Guns Girls and Help I'm Alive.... good times. And totally agree with you btw! The Strokes in their prime were *huge* abroad
