I find it very rare to see someone really "get" the nuances. Small bends, slides, and especially TIMING are so important. You sir are a rare breed. Well done.
This is some classy playing! One thing I have noticed with these covers/additions is that the songs are so well made in the first place they have the space to do this with.
that's funny I was just thinking the same thing the other, day "i wanna learn some 80's classics, but they never really had much guitar in them... did they?" lol well i guess there's some!
So true. Love these videos as well. Wasn't much into Def Leppard or Motley Crüe either before stumbling upon this channel. I've learned a lot by watching this. At the end of the day, pure enjoyment of the music and laid back playing does get the message through. Kudos, chapeau!
This sounds like an 80's era Peter Gabriel song production wise ..the drums, the guitars, the thumping synth bass ...I never caught that until hearing this Leppardized cover. Well done!
Stunning guitar cover version. You are right. The guitar parts are very intricately arranged on this song. Love the way you "Leppardized" it! When 'Songs from the Big Chair' was released, some of the guitar parts were indeed compared to what Def Leppard would have done. 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' is another example.
Man the two chords at @1:47 are perfect. They really did an unbelievable job in this song at creating a tone of urgency. Never realized that until hearing them front and center here.
なるほどー!ありがとう!運指が、私が今までやってたのより、あなたがやってる方が断然いいです! 勉強になります! I see! Thank you!! Your Guitar solo fingering is much better than what I've ever done. I will study a lot from you! I really appreciate your work 🎸✨ Thank you again from Tokyo 🇯🇵
@@bwm5150 Dear my UA-cam Teacher 🎸😀 Good evening from Japan 🇯🇵 I am enjoying to practice everyday. I appreciate you really 😀 Enjoying is the most important thing as you said .
You’re the modern day Mutt Lange. Bands should send you their almost finalized song and then add your guitar parts to put it over the top. It’s amazing how “Leppardizing” good songs can make them sound so much better. Bravo (again) 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Also, never really made a request, but ever think of doing Starship’s I Didn’t Mean To Stay All Night? Leppardized, of course.
Just tremendous! Tears for fears classic, wonderful songs seem to lend themselves immediately to your heavier guitar input! You just seems to enhance these already fantastic songs. I loved TFFears back then although generally heavy rock has always been my ‘thing’ but I was knocked out by your version of ‘Head over heels ‘. Eye opening stuff. What a super and exciting facet you’re bringing to these songs. Great stuff!!
Nice job. Roland’s guitar work with TFF is a favourite of mine. He understates things but when you listen in to the tracks his lead and chord work is sublime yet brilliant. Their recordings are gems and it is great to see that he and Curt are still working together. I saw them play in NZ about 12 years ago along with Spandau Ballet. They should have toured solo. Wonderful songs. A great choice, Ben. Thanks for posting. 👍😎🇳🇿🎸🏴🍺🍺
I didn't start listening to rock & pop until age 15 in 1983. 2 years later it took me a while to know Roland and Spandau Ballet weren't the same vocalist!
Awesome as always. I love the efficient motion; nothing wasted, and never hurried. As a long-time golfer, I compare this playing to the effortless power in a swing like Ernie Els'.
🤩 Yesssssssss this video is on fire 🔥🔥 cheers Ben 🍻 👍 always on point once again thanks for the live stream I learned a couple of things Bobby Brown was a shocker you have an amazing voice whatever you do just keep going🎸🎧 your journey fan always 🌹
Grew up loving TFF and still love the band so much; I wish Mr. Orzabal would check out this, he would be proud of this amazing cover. Your channel is great, I think Toto's cover is sick 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

So sick bro! Nice work
To be in my teens in the 80s was a GIFT from GOD.
Definitely
Did you have lots of gay fun?
@@silver47officialI can confirm yes
@@Tearsforfears16 Awesome!
Trust me it was.

This right here, especially the riff at 5:22 is something which is overlooked often.
No matter whatever type of cover you do, people just can't change this awesome solo. Since i was a kid i adored this solo
One of my favourite solos of all time. Nothing flashy, but really meaningfully melodic notes. 😁
This version is so SICK it's the best ever!!
Always loved Tears for Fears.

This cover is AMAZING, and actually this song has a very underrated guitar in my opinion
Is it just me or does everything sound better Leppardized?
I'm very pleased that my enjoyment of playing over more 'poppy' songs I like can be liked by others too.
It's amazing, never really paid much attention to the guitar parts in these songs until you started making these videos - now I can't get enough!
that's funny I was just thinking the same thing the other, day "i wanna learn some 80's classics, but they never really had much guitar in them... did they?" lol

THE GUITAR BIT IS MY FAVOURITE BIT

That's the music of my youth. Love this song, very powerful.
Speechless.. God of tune and riff

Yezzzurrr! Some of Britain's finest. So glad you've covered them, because their guitar play never gets any recognition. 👍
Be sure to check my other TFF covers on the description, cheers
@@bwm5150 for sure. Thanks for letting me know.
Oh great now I’ll never hear this song the same again!!! That was awesome you mad scientist!!!!
4:40 is one my favorite parts of the song
I love Roland's solo in Shout, your rendition of Shout sounds amazing, thanks for sharing bmw!
This sounds like it should've been in the song originally. So cool!
Best compliment I can get, thank you!

Thanks! Everybody Wants to Rule the World' was my first 'non-lep' cover I did way back in 2011/2012.
That ending is killer!!!!
Holy shit... This made it sound even more 80's!!!
When you think a song couldn't be made any better.....😍
That guitar solo is amazing, great melodies in there
Leppardized always means... better !! awesome work bro!!
LEPPARDIZATIONS make life better.
Another successful Leppardized cover. Love this song and the whole Songs From The Big Chair album.

Makes me feel great !!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHOUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this and the Disturbed versions are EPIC!!
Big Wreck's version is amazing too👍👍
Wooooooow, I like it!!!!!!!!! Thank you! What could be better when two of my favorite bands, Def Leppard and Tears for Fears, united into one whole???

You made a great song even better. Just awesome.
Awesome, still 👏🎸🔝

A Steinberger??!! Whoa!
Just nice 👌
hell yeah, new guitar!
It’s 12 years old and I only use it for songs that require detuning, so it doesn’t get used much but you can see on covers dating back to 2012
Superb
Brilliant!
