Suuret kiitokset! Kyllähän näitä yrittää aina tehdä tietyllä kunnioituksella alkuperäistä kappaletta/ esittäjää kohtaan. Varsinkin kun on itselle hyvinkin tärkeä yhtye kyseessä. Nykyisellään on vaan harmillisesti oma aika niin kortilla, ettei ole vähään aikaan ehtinyt uusia covereita tekemään.
Kiitokset! Melodia on yksi omiakin suosikkeja ja sen takia piti vähän panostaa myös introon. Mukailtu bändin käyttämästä introraidasta, jota soittivat keikoillaan joitakin vuosia takaperin.
And you got the mouth harp right as well. This got very close to the original and yes one of my favorite bands is Moonsorrow. Voice is a bit low and in the background in the beginning of the song, I think for a reason, but could be a bit more on volume. Guitar sound and drums matches perfectly. Vocals exceptional for this cover. All hail to Finland and SFP! Saatana. :)
Thanks! Nice to hear you liked it! And yes I know the clean vocals could have been louder but I'm not too confident with my singing so I put them a bit low on purpose :D
Well that could be nice =) I don't have much time just now for new covers because I have already few songs in the making. But sure I'm interested in collaboration!
Great cover. I think the sound is on par with the original, especially that final choir. Only real complaints are vocals are low in the mix and the intro is a little long, but the original has the same issues so 5/5
Thanks for the feedback! Vocals are low in the mix on purpose but you are right about that they could have been a little more louder. While mixing I tried to bring them out better but then it started sound too clear and it wasn't on line with the original song. As a native Finnish speaker even I couldn't first hear what they are singing on the original because the vocals are even more on the background. Maybe that's the case :D
Well in this case my time consumption wasn’t very tight at all :D I could have done it many times quicker if I’ve had enough time. It took one year to do whole thing but I didn't work for it 24/7 because I had a lot of other things to deal with. The song itself took maybe month or two. Few weeks recording and then mixing. Learning all instruments was easy task because the song was familiar to me already. Making the drumtrack was the hardest thing and it took maybe a week as a whole. There were a lot of little things and variations to take account. Video shooting and editing was another long term project and it took nearly half of the year. But again it could have been done in couple of weeks if I’ve had enough time. I don’t like rush things when it comes to music ;)
@@pikemastercovers btw wouldnt you have any flac version or this recording or anyvl high quality file I could play in my car where I have some extra sound booster installed under the seat? I think YT version wouldnt be sufficient, bass wise etc
@@FF-dr1qc I have only mp3 version left. Since it's only home recording and compressed allready the quality won't get much better than here in youtube. I can try to send it if you let me know where :)
Onnistunut coveri. Vahva haastaja alkuperäiselle ja osin parempikin. Arvostan. 🙏👍🏼

Aivan jäätävä alun synamelodia! Ihokarvat nousi pystyyn kun melodia on tuttu.

That was fantastic, good job.
Much appreciated!
One word: Excellent!
Kiitoksia!

That fact that the clean vocals were really low in the mix makes it even more similar to the original
Congrats man! This is a very good cover. =)
Thanks! I think there will be more Moonsorrow covers in the future since they are one of my favourite bands ;)
Awesome! Moonsorrow is also one of my favourite bands! Maybe we could do a cover together in the future. =)

Pikemaster regardless, great job once again
how long it takes to do this cover?
