Screw all the haters. Born and raises in Texas and still living in Texas. My family heritage has called Texas home since 1923, and let me tell you sandhill cranes are the best meat out there. I hunt them also with a license and tags. If people think Japanese wagu meat is good sandhill cranes are even better. I'm glad you got to experience them cause man!!!! They are so freaking good!!!!

Sand Hill Cranes: Remember that 90% of people over 40 were raised that Sandhill Cranes were "endangered" and you would go to jail for 100 years if you even hurt one. King of Hill had a whole episode on that fact and it took place in TX and was written by a Texan (Mike Judge).
It should be -0- surprise people still act out on those, apparently, no longer in effect laws.

Sandhill Cranes here in Canada are called the Ribeye of the Sky.
I think some people are confused about Cranes thinking they are endangered, which are Whooping Cranes.

I live in Florida and Sandhill Cranes are protected. There are only 17 states in the USA that are even permitted to hold limited hunting of Sandhill Cranes.

There's a REASON WHY many States allow Hunting many different animals! There's a season for each and it's Legally for a REASON!

Love the Duck Room but I must admit Johnny D get under my skin. In fact the constant challenge of Si’s honesty is wearing heavy. Doubtful this podcast will win any awards. Although over all I am a fan of the Louisiana boys.
I missed JD on this episode. I can't say this episode was my favorite but it seems that many liked it. Godwin was missed also.

These boys are hunters...if there is a season or license for it...they will hunt it...it's what hunters do. What I want to know has any of them hunted gator or wild boar? I'd think more challenging than deer, fish or ducks.

SANDHILL CRANE IN FLORIDA,they are under protected and they are not to be hunted and if you see one limping in the middle of the road you have to pick them up and take them to a vet or the forrest rangers in our area and the sandhill crane is under the protective services and if you see one standing in the road limping take them to an animal protective serce ,HERE IN FLORIDA IS IT IS ILLEGAL IN FLORIDA TO HUNT THE SANDHILL CRANE
