I love this podcast, never miss a one. This one reminded me of things from childhood right on through adult life. As a kid in the early 70's in Arkansas dad mixed Copenhagen in our food when my sisters and I had worms. It worked. The roach in the ear reminded me of an incident around 1985 when as a new nurse (I'm retired now) a young couple brought their 7 year old girl into the ER with a broken arm, we took care of the arm, in the meantime their 3 year old had been in their car shoving foam rubber up his nose and packing it in with a pencil, I can still hear him screaming as the Dr. was pulling it all from his nose. Going back to 1980 as a newlywed we bought a portable dishwasher, something I'd never been around before, I learned that regular dish soap was not meant for dishwashers. The mouse story reminded me of when we first moved in our current house in 1992, I saw our dog trailing something along the baseboards, it was a mouse. I spotted him zip around the corner into the living room, we didn't have a trap one in the house, so I grabbed my Ruger 22 automatic pistol and waited for him to come around the room, as I knew he'd go under the wood stove. When he poked his head out, pow, dead mouse. I might be a redneck.
I think it is awesome that these are real men...they can laugh and cut-up like the rest of us. But when they get serious, it is just how I want it. Willie is an impressive young man!
I love this episode with yall talking about the stuff we had to endure back in the day or the stuff we did. Some of the best memories I have are playing in the creek and mud and the ashes dumped out from the wood burning stove, with the pets playing along side us.
I laughed so hard i had to rewind it. The worms if the poop moves about 6” omg then the lice. But extra is jd got the spray and willie is like what spray. Absolutely hilarious yall
Great show. Next time Willie comes on I want you to throw up a picture of Willie and Si back in their beardless days, proving Willie got his looks from dear old uncle.
Justin great job with Godwin with this great content every week..Every Sunday I'm watching FYI and watching DD cause it puts a smile on your face. When I'm down...nuttin better then DD..or podcasts with u Southern boys just doing ur thing. I'm from Minnesota but love what u guys have done for a decade. Yes my mom gave me & my sis red worm medicine & it would make you throw up & mama would say if you throw up your gonna get another dose , so hold your nose & try to choke it down 😂. Only in Arkansas lol
I have to say I used to played a little mailbox baseball. Jesus and an iron wrapped mailbox cured me of that sport quickly. Thank ya'll for this podcast. God Bless!
Willie, I LOVE that we get to SEE and HEAR your HEART here, unlike the goofy, selfish role that Hollywood tried to paint on you during that little show. ~Your Sister in Christ, Bethany
I never got dewormed but I was told about playing in the dirt could cause it so that wasn't my favorite activity.. I had lice more then once and even when I was adult and the Icing on the cake I caught lice once at work lol
Something really wrong with this podcast … it ended! Love the dynamic with Willie and JD and Martin. Still have a smile on my face. Thank you Duck Call family for doing the podcast - it’s a ministry really the way I see it. Come back soon Willie
Just to let y’all know up here in the Harlan county Ky mountains in the 80’s my brother and me both had to be de-wormed more than once! You could catch them from playing outside barefoot and fooling with dogs! Luckily my brother and I never had lice...
TN we were given those pills each summer. All so we were given fediment which was a laxative chewing gum. Fleas infested our dirt basement so that was a deal of black legs when you went downstairs. Yes Willie in those days all kids were given worm pills. Ours were purple. Bad memories. Love ya’ll the best topics. This night has been real.
Can I get a prayer request for all the Robertson kids, for making it to adolescence, and for waiting to bring Phyllis into the bunch.. Tell me Gods timing ain’t right on track😂
John David has gotten a lot better at composing him for the podcast he was kind of hyperactive & annoying when they started & now his just a great addition to the podcast, his enthusiasm is great. He's gotten a little more mild mannered & really grown to be an essential part of the podcast
@@JM-lz5ld I disagree he used to like rock back & forth & cut people off & interrupt them with stupid little comments & I think he’s realized this & gotten a lot better at not behaving like a middle schooler 😂
Yes we dewormed our children. Everyone has parasites. Children played outside in the dirt and when they became restless and couldn’t sleep or irritable .
I'm from Missouri & had to be dewormed as a child.... 100% true story but I've never met anyone else who had to be. We were alot more poor than the people I Hung around & now I just don't tell anyone 😂
I'd like to see Mountain Man on the Ol' Duck Call Room Podcast.
Yes! We have to get that legendary human being on here.

If someone throws a snake at me. I have a nice iron skillet that will make you rethink what you did😁
Has anyone else noticed that John David sounds like a younger version of Willie? Their voices are almost identical.
In NZ we worm the whole family once a year , living with cattle and sheep there’s worm around 😂😂👍

Yes 🙌 we were de-wormed. The reason is that we ate a lot of dirt and played in cat poop infested sand boxes. Logs 🪵 everywhere!!!
Something really wrong with this podcast … it ended! Love the dynamic with Willie and JD and Martin. Still have a smile on my face. Thank you Duck Call family for doing the podcast - it’s a ministry really the way I see it. Come back soon Willie
