Here is the recipe for a 5.5 US Gallon (21 liter) batch size: 2-row 13lb Munich Dark 2.5lb Brown Malt 1.5lb Chocolate Malt 1.25lb Crystal 120 1lb Crystal 40 0.5lb Magnum 1oz 60min EKG 0.5oz 10min 8 Peppermint Tea Bags - Last 10min of boil (Brad used Twinings) Cocoa Powder 4oz - Last 10min of boil (Brad used Hershey's) 2 packs of US-05
Really enjoyed this brewday video. I know it's evil, but I had to laugh out loud several times. Good to see that this kind of things happen to other brewers as well. 😅🍻
Haha right?! I shoot and edit these vids and kinda felt bad including it but I laughed pretty good every time I saw it lol Its F#cked up Friday after all! Thanks for watching!! Cheers
I think you wanna move the support ring. If you don’t your malt pipe sits directly on the false bottom the little ring on the false bottom might interface with the bottom plate of the grain basket in a bad way? Just thinking out loud here.
We have the how to video right here ua-cam.com/video/v4wgOWrjoJo/v-deo.html Also if you're in Canada we sell them pre built. Link is in the description of that video
Thinking of purchasing the Brewzilla Gen 4. Would it be beneficial to go with a 65L even though my normal brew is for 5 gallons and just have the extra room in case?
Unfortunately the 65L isn't CSA approved for sale in Canada so I never had the opportunity to try one. If it's not much more expensive I can't think of any downsides to brewing 5-6 gallons in it though.
Pretty any all grain recipe you come across can be brewed on any system. The only thing that will change is your mash and sparge water volume which will be based off your boil off rate and dead space loss. This particular recipe has a lot of grain in the mash so you will run into issues if you don't have the extender. Cheers!
We don't but you could add it: Here is the recipe for a 5.5 US Gallon (21 liter) batch size: 60min boil, 60min mash @152f (67C) 2-Row 13lb Munich Dark 2.5lb Brown Malt 1.5lb Chocolate Malt 1.25lb Crystal 120 1lb Crystal 40 0.5lb Magnum 1oz 60min EKG 0.5oz 10min 8 Peppermint Tea Bags - Last 10min of boil (Brad used Twinings) Cocoa Powder 4oz - Last 10min of boil (Brad used Hershey's) 2 packs of US-05
Everything falling. Hoses falling out of the sink. Water, wort, and sanitizer all over the floor. Makin' a huge mess. Not hitting your numbers. Getting just a little burned. Just like a normal one of my brew days.
I liked the video. Where can i get my hands on the recipe? Thanks

Nice work! I sometimes cheat and add DME to get the APV where I want it. Cheers 👍😀🍻
DME has been a go to of mine whenever the OG is a bit off but sometimes I just say f*@# it and just go with it.
Great video! I'm trying to get my g 4 35l to do a full 10g batch with the extender, would love to see you try it!
I'm pretty sure the 220v could handle but the 110v would take a long time to reach a boil.

I think you're right. I'll look into next time brew with this extender.
great vid. extender looks scary. the inline temp on the recirc looks cool tho
Cheers!
How can I get one of those thermometers in the recirculation line?!

Was that the 220V Brewzilla? Would that recipe be ok on the 110V?

do you guys have this recipe in brewfather or similar?
We don't but you could add it:
Here is the recipe for a 5.5 US Gallon (21 liter) batch size:
60min boil, 60min mash @152f (67C)
2-Row 13lb
Munich Dark 2.5lb
Brown Malt 1.5lb

Crystal 120 1lb

2 packs of US-05
Have you tried the 10 gallon batch with this yet?
I definitely want to. I'm pretty sure we'll have to stick to 4-5%ABV beers if we have a hope of pulling it off. Anything you'd like to see me try?
