Not sure, jesus has showed him truth not book. when he read this book he saw his emotions so also colors. But without this book colors were fading again, it wasn't going about an item or his monochromatic vision, it was caused by this that he was "too weak" to admit to his emotions and needs, he was following corn and other primitive needs, escaped to africa to escape from corny culture and has some peace, through his sinful life he was always lieing to himself about this what he really feels and what he really needed, he was torn apart internally (mentally folowing desires, but at the same time he was seeing that it don't make him happy, but more ruined, as it wasn't what he really wanted, yet he still decided to follow desires, at the end he said clearly he didn't regret it) in house of corn he admited to it in certain way when he was talking with prostitute, he was always going in one way (symbolically monochromatic vision get it), folowing his shallow needs instead of looking deeper in himself, he was folowing desires right (it is literally his name as an tip) when he should admit to himself his real I and not his bodily needs. Jesus showed him that if he will life as he really wants to with his real feelings, he will be seeing all colors of life (not suffering/ 2 choices only - black and white).
desires: sex (prostitutes), women (emma if I remeber well her name, girl feeding homeless), testing sexuality (having sex with a boy in school times), food, social media, mass thinking, consumerism ("fatty" in home of damien). obviouslly desire was thief and egoist if you look at his life (left parents like they were nothing to him, was stealing stuff, cheating his friends, lied to himself constantly, he was doing a lot of gross things just for his egoistic desires, just think about every part of his life (kid, adult, older adult).
Can somebody please explain to me the message of this art? I understand that Désiré wanted to see colours for all of his life and when he finally did he didn't want the colours at all because it's somrthing completely unknown to him. If the achromatopsy symbolises depression it just makes life a complete tragedy according to the game. Except if this is made as a warning, to not lose the chance to read the manuscript before it is too late. I don't understand and I'm young and depressed too for the time being
The message is that no matter the challenges you were faced with, you must learn to accept your life for what it is and not what it could've been. In the end, Désiré realises he doesn't need to cling onto a dream that will never come to reality, but rather learn to live the reality as it is, otherwise he would be like a cat chasing a mouse, endlessly.
Ending was sad, personaly I had hope that he will become new father for Lea, but his life seemed to be wasted, weird is this that I feel bad for this extremely delicately saying mean david, his life was also empty and maybe even more ruined than desire's. At least desire's parents propably were still alive, he really should visit them after all these years if he really loved them.
The message is that desire always wanted a life full of colors joyfullness and something like that but he never really achieved it in his life because yk elma was a bitch his friend committed and shit like but the real message is that you should accpet what you have and what you are rather than what you want, not everything is going to go like you wanted in your life happy days and depressing days are coming, it's no lie because it's a part of our life so be happy with what you have
The game was oddly wonderful
The story would've ended early if only desire opened the book when he was a kid
What book?
@@ShadowSilverWolf i won't spoil it to you brother
fr though, if only he had opened that book, everything would've been different.

Beautiful game
Camille Duka Yes! :)
True indeed
Its so sad that this game never got the attention it deserved 😢😢
The best game i have ever played.
is there a reason or purpose at the end. as to why he went through what he went through
I think the lack of color is supposed to represent depression.
Crazy and wonderful
i hope somebody make explanation of the meaning and message of this game. its so poetic i cant understand the ending and some of the game part
There's a lot in the comment section....But it's about accepting your life & reality & learn how to embrace it without fear nor worry at all...
Jeez,what a game
It was rollercoaster of emotions both scary and adventurous, fun and hate, sweet and bitter

Thank you 😊
