I went rushing out to rescue the goose, and a nice woman and her daughter came along to help. We took the goose up to a vets that, unusually, will deal in wild animals and then take them to a local wildlife hospital. Apparently, if they survive the first night, they're usually ok, and you'll be pleased to know that this one made it.

That’s Barney the Silverback. He’s a lovely gentle giant. After being chased around by the mean Geese, he wanted to go back inside. Silverbacks have near superhuman strength along with a very strong bite force. But yet, they want to be gentle and want to avoid as much trouble as possible.

Nah they're not that bad. The charge is almost always a bluff unless theyre nesting. Some even let me pet em and not just ones I've helped rescue. Super soft too😊

Why are these things so damn scary? The best they can do is honk and peck. Leave a scratch at best. They used to chase me to work everyday when I was in college. Took a short cut to get to work and they lived there. And If I didn't take the short cut, I had to walk a few extra miles. It was torture. At least the silverback was scared too. I feel much better.

Perhaps the problem for the human in that situation is that both the gorilla and the human are humanoid, and we are something that the gorilla can understand and "analyze", the goose is simply something that the gorilla does not know or understand.
