My husband 's favorite song. He passed away 3 years ago with cancer and he listened to it all the time. I still play it for him. Thank you Lynne Townsend for the beautiful job you did singing it!!
This reminds me of my grandmother who passed away. God has given me visions of her in Heaven. Praise be to Him. She is so happy in Heaven. I can't wait until I get to join her. Praise be to God for paying the price for our sins so that we can live forever. You are wonderful, Lord!
This hymn resonated with me so much, the first time I heard it; I sought out a UA-cam singing of it. I learned the song, and sing in duet with my dear husband. We perform this song whenever we speak at gatherings. It his offers HOPE to everyone you ears it.
My husband is a Hospice Chaplain. There has been I handful of times when I've accompany Claire on his visits and when the timing is right in the situation fits will sing into read of this song and I never seen it feel to bless the person with singing at two. So I guess In a way, The words and intent of this song is to give hope and let the spirit in whatever situation we are in. So I hope you'll take comfort in listening to this hymn "in the bulb there is a flower"
This is absolutely beautiful! I can remember singing this at church when I was much younger. What a blessing to hear it sang so beautifully! My younger brother died 22 months ago. Now I understand the true beauty of what this song means.
In the bulb there is a flower; in the seed, an apple tree; In cocoons, a hidden promise: butterflies will soon be free! In the cold and snow of winter there’s a spring that waits to be, Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see. There’s a song in every silence, seeking word and melody; There’s a dawn in every darkness, bringing hope to you and me. From the past will come the future; what it holds, a mystery, Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see. In our end is our beginning; in our time, infinity; In our doubt there is believing; in our life, eternity, In our death, a resurrection; at the last, a victory, Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see. Love this.
I too love this song, the lyrics, like poetry, frame these thoughts so well. Thank you for the lyrics, I hope you listen to this often. Blessing on your life, and the journey you are in.

Wow and double wow! I commend you on such beautiful photography of a song that says it all, the promise of life eternal. Having lost my wife to cancer almost 8 years ago, we sang this hymn at her funeral service. Both of us loved it because of the reassuring message it expresses. Losing the love of my life for 31 years still brings forth many a tear, but as Robert Schuller so beautifully expressed it: "In that day when there will be no sunset and no dawning" - everlasting life. Thanks be to God!
Beautiful! My youngest sister passed away last. We sang this song at her "Celebration of Life" service. It says so much. I wanted to hear it again. Thank you. I loved the video.

Marilyn Keen Sorry for your loss. Praying for you. God bless.
May God be with you now and forever.
Gorgeous imagery more than does justice to one of the most memorable modern hymns - one which I cannot hear, let along sing, without tears in my eyes.
