Picked up my Mt 450 a few weeks ago. great vid , l had a triumph 800 great power but also very heavy, great when your younger but when your older not so good.
I think your Fireblade 929RRY was a fantastic bike...i did 70k miles on mine, raced it, thrashed it, toured on it. Still have it as its been so memorable i dont want to part with it. 100% reliable, great bike.
another plus for the 450MT seems to be the wide range of stock and 3rd party upgrades and accessories day one. So far I've had no issue getting anything I wanted - so different to a few previous bikes.
I come from a KTM 1190r on which I logged 60,000klms. Having owned the 450MT for a week now and tinkered with it a little, I am totally at home. KTM’s influence is clearly evident. Like you with your old bike, don’t miss the 25 fastners to remove plastics for air filter access!!
I met a guy last Saturday at a popular bike stop who is trying to sell his CRF300 in order to buy the 450MT. He is having no luck selling because it seems folks in the market are wanting the 450 MT (or the Himi 450) instead. I think the 450MT is just the grouse, it carries its weight perfectly, doesn't feel top heavy at all, it so good on gravel roads, holds its shape over pot holes and ruts, and boy, can you throw it around on your favorite winding mountain road.
Had 2 TRK's and I really like them for what they are i.e.outstanding comfort for long trips ... agree they are not for off road and the CF will no doubt excel compared ... I really like what the CF offers but as I don't do much off road then the extra cost of the CF plus then adding bits means I will wait until they are more common in the used market place ... the only other thing I would say is your comment that the TRK does nothing after 5,000 rpm is odd to say the least ... both of mine have pulled strongly through to 7,000rpm + and I have often sat at 80mph + no issues
@@frashd Mine didn't and current one doesn't ... certainly not a 5,000rpm, that would have me at around 60mph and nothing left and that's just not the case

Looking at selling my 2022 Ktm690 for the cfmoto450 I am 61 years old and I think now cfmoto450 will suit my riding style, my concern is and I would like your views how does it go on the highway sitting at say 120ks for a couple of hours carrying saddle bags does it scream its head off
@@frashd someone actually put it on the scales it was 197kg if I remember. The tank was full. People were claiming maybe cf moto were weighing it with half a tank or something. Put it around the same as the royal Enfield. But that's a single this is a twin so the same weight is not that bad.
@TringmotionCoUk Na... I mean honda. I've owned Ktm's Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, honda, benelli.... Honda are put together very practically.. I mean Honda.

Good honest review from someone who actually bought the bikes, not shilling a demo bike which is usually the case of most 'reviews.'
Thanks mate, love my 450mt.

This why I’m selling my superbikes in favour of the 450MT.

@keepitreal1547 never put a spanner to mine. But as a road bike could loose your license with a 2 second twist of the throttle
A mate of mine had the 1100 trek and it was terrible on fuel, I think he barely got 250kkm per tank. I have the 450mt and love it

Cool, I actually put a deposit on one today. A couple of months wait, but I think it's well worth it. 😎

CFMOTO 450MT seems to be a popular bike, and also at a reasonable price.
