Wow! PMC Rose de Mai EDP is gorgeous. Tried it side by side with an Eau Rose EDP decant. Some pros and cons. To my nose the PMC was greener and included the smell of chlorophyll from crushed leaves. This leaned more unisex and felt like an energetic “early morning” rose. On the downside, the scent bubble was small and feeble. I didn’t hate the Diptyque but it was sweeter like rose bath products. On the plus side I found that it projected a bit more and lasted a couple hours longer. If it was just about the fragrance and not performance, I’d pick PMC because…it smells less common. I’ll just have to get used to spraying more. I bought a full bottle with a spiffy discount. Thanks for the suggestion as this is a new house for me.

So i was excited to see a full review now. I fell in love with the rose and the jasmine, I never would have heard of the brand if it wasn't for you, thanks!
I just received Rose de Mai as a gift and I was really impressed with it on multiple levels but... You nailed it: executing it in a way that gives a multifaceted soliflore elegant complexity while smelling TOTALLY natural... It's almost unbelievable... To be very honest, I think this is one of JCE's best fragrances EVER... I'm so happy to own this... 100% unisex by the way.. truly genderless and simply breathtaking... I recently discovered Prada’s “Miracle of the Rose” which is a Rose + Oud and I find it very well composed. I’m not as sophisticated as you or most of your viewers (but I’m learning and taking notes 📝 ). It’s not necessarily significant to this particular video, but I wanted to share.
On my skin, Diptyque Eau Rose EDT is a lovely rose scent. EDP is too similar to EDT in my opinion, I expected something a bit different. Thanks for the review Persolaise!
For anyone contemplating on buying Diptyque Eau Rose, it’s worth trying Paul Smith Rose. Perhaps not a sophisticated niche option but it’s £36 for 100ml and highly comparable to Eau Rose (but a longer lasting and affordable version). I’m a big fan of Diptyque and Eau Rose is definitely a pretty and pleasant scent, but not worth the money.
I ❤ Paul Smith Rose and it was one of my regular fragrances. Unfortunately, I think it has been discontinued because I have been looking for it online and department stores but couldn’t find any 😢. I’m gonna look for a dupe and hopefully the Dyptique Eau Rose is close

I'm not a perfume expert or anything, but I didn't find this one very impressive when I tried it at my local Diptyque counter. My favorite rose is Elizabethan Rose from Penhaligon.
Hi from Milan ..Never liked a single fragrance from Serge Nor TOM FRAUD Nondescript. Guerlain make the best roses and also Rosine.. The Fragonard Rose de Mai is a fraction of the price and not bad.
I think the original (EDT) is beautifully done and I like it better than the new version (EDP). It's a lovely not-to-sweet, slightly green rose scent. But if you prefer more daring rose scents (Frederic Malle Une Rose comes to mind), then I agree with Persolaise, Diptyque won't be terribly tempting :) Unfortunately for my wallet, I love and collect all kinds of roses...
Rose is my favorite. May favorite rose perfume at this time is Love Kills. I’d really love to try Rose de Mai. It came up on a favorite rose perfume list, a few days ago.

One of my favorites: Aerin Lauder: Rose de Grasse pour fille( there's a regular and a pour fille, I think the pour fille is an edt, but my favorite between the two)A just picked a rose..... just love it. Nothing complex, realistic. I love Rose de Mai. Have you tried it?
I already have the edt and I really like it. Compared to the edp i can say that i don’t really felt the difference. Maybe a little bit « deeper » smell but i couldn’t get those vegetal notes that they added. In any cases it’s a lovely smell that i like to use fresh days

Perris isn't bad but for the price you can do a lot better. For example Piguet Rose perfection
I got the Perris at a massive discount 😉
Perros is a more pure Rose whereas Piquet is a perfume which happens to have Rose.

Yes , because it’s not sweet or powdery but fresh so that makes it unisex . Unless you think a rose is strictly for females
