Although I'm sure there are older Weekend Warriors and ravers than me, I'll be 56 years old tomorrow. Went to Defqon the past 2 years, but unfortunately, due to surgery complications, I had to cancel my trip at the last minute this year. God willing, I'll be healed next year, and have every intention of being able to celebrate my birthday on The Holy Grounds. FYI- I started raving around 1990, when it was all considered "Techno". Took a long hiatus as the scene died here in the US around the early 2000s. Just got back into the scene around 5 years ago, and I'm totally loving it! Don't know if I'd still be classified as an OG raver. My heart is definitely Orange now though.
Sorry to hear that bro, it was again and as usual spectacular, amazing people, epic bonding vibe no matter what you look like or where you from, pure unity, love the feeling everyone is bringing to Defqon, I'm positive The Holy Grounds missed you and sent its best wishes and healing energy brother and from me as well. little background info, i'm Dutch, 41 y/o, started in 1996 @ Thunderdome with raving and never looked back, here in The Netherlands it's a way of life, for me you surely are one of the goats. Hope your injury heals fully! I was born with an orange hearth, but we surely have the love for the red white and blue in common. We Dutchies love it sooo much people are willing to travel 20-30 hours to come and enjoy life, music and happiness with us at our little festivity heheh, cheers my man, take care! 🧡

Hello! I saw the title and I knew I had to click. I'd love to hear your pov.. As a fan who grew up with this music and has been throught its up and downs, like every other music genre have gone through. I can tell you after that after the nonsense has passed, hardstyle, if it be tek, jump, raw, euphoric... It doesn't matter. The music is now stronger than ever! We're one big family when it comes to this music. We all respect each other.

Not only is The Prophet the Godfather of Hardstyle. He is also one of the creators of Hardcore❤️ people seems to forget that🤷♂️
I was here, and it was definitely an emotional set. I can't say I didn't tear up myself. Don't feel bad for The Prophet though. He didn't retire from Hardstyle, he retired from performing live. He owns Scantraxx, which is one of the biggest record labels in Hardstyle. This will just give him time to grow his Scantraxx label even bigger. And with Headhunterz (Scantraxx's biggest artist) retiring from performing also, you can bet Scantraxx will be an even bigger force to be reckon with in the near future.
Defqon 1 was the best and latest festival I've visited in the year 2005. We where able to take a helicopter to see the party area from the air while fireworks were flying around. This was the best year.
The best man might be stopping doing his act on stage, but as far as i know he still will be handling his label scantraxx records, which is one of the if not the biggest hardstyle/harddance label out there
Keep in mind this legendary DJ/producer is creeping up to 60.
