Indeed, last year with friends we wanted to go for Tomorrowland but we couldn't buy a tickets, so we were "unlulucky", I gave an idea to try hardstyle event because we liked this genre a lil bit, defqon was already sold out, so we had choosen Intents festival, just to try because we only liked olschool hardstyle and hardcore was to hard for us, but we traveled almost 1500km by car, and duuude it tottaly worth it, it was the best expiriences in our lives, so we went again for decibel outdoor, then for qlimax then for Thunderdome.
This year we arlady booked and airbnb houser for 3 months and we are gonna to participate in each single hardstyle event in NL.
We also plan to go for Ozora festival in Hungarym it aint hardstyle, but psytrance and morelike spiritual oriented festival, rated also as one of the bests in the wolrd.

Every defqon is like new years eve only better, the fireworks are synchronized to the music. Welcome to the world of Hardstyle and our holy grounds at Defqon.1 🥰 Defqon.1 2022 was special in regard as it was the first edition after COVID. The festival features 14 stages with genres of the harder styles in EDM, for example Euphoric Hardstyle, Hardcore, Uptempo, Frenchcore, Industrial, Raw.
The phoenix at the mainstage is approximately 100-120m wide. Have no exact numbers available, but there are some numbers from previous editions available.
For this year edition the weekend warrior ticket - 4 days incl. camping - is about 300€. Bring your own tent and join the tribe. Sure there more pricey options available.

Q-Dance is known for their shows. So all the effects are in sync as best as possible. I remember 2018, when the endshow was out of sync due to weather effects. The next day at the closing ceremony (last day) everything was spot on! 😁
2022 was my first edition. I had my ticket for 2020. You can only imagine just how intense the buildup and anticipation was for us. I balled my eyes out during this! So many different emotions. 2024 will be my 3rd. Its also the 20th anniversary edition. Hoping Q Dance does something epic!

@@ExtremeTeddy It'll be my third. Last year, a friend from Canada and I actually went down to Croatia and did DropZone the week after Defqon. We stopped for a couple days in Munich, then 2 days in Salzburg, Austria on the way down, before spending the week on Pag Island. Even went down to Dubrovnik to see the city center where Game of Thrones was filmed the day we departed. What an epic vacation!
I still can't believe that after 10 years of watching every single show from Defqon 1, I'd be finally there this year. A dream comes true!

I’ve been to the 2022 defqon1 festival. Every year the stage has a different theme. This year stage represents the phoenix, who eventually will arise from it’s own ashes. The endshow is a real masterpiece.

I am one of the lucky ones and like to drive the 600km from Denmark to the Netherlands and have done it since 2015 and am ready for 2024 too, it never gets boring

I can still remember where I was at my first festival in Holland 16 years ago. I really didn't understand a word of English but I knew something epic was happening here!

I went last year and I've been waiting 14 years to go. As you're saying, its an life time change, for sure the best thing in my entire life as an experience. The crowd are so nice and NUTS. 😂 They really know how to party.

The guy who does this breathing thing is actually an extremely sportsman who holds the record for the longest ice bath and the longest time under water. He is called Wim Hof😊

Wim Hof is rather fascinating person, he did some really impressive things in his lifetime, not many will or could follow that.
Also you're so right this is so once of lifetime have to see level. I tried to get in there on 2023, but from Finland it was actually not so cheap to get there, with hotels and everything. I ain't sleeping in tent there at 44yo. I was in army already. Lmao. No one was that cost was going over my budget for the whole weekend, and my father passed away 6 months before i was suppose to leave. I had to do all the burial stuff and such so i didn't even notice i missed the last year's event.
im glad i was there 2 times, man i loved your reaction and was cying the whole time, gabba - hardstyle- hardcore what ever you wanna call it, is a big part of netherlands and german culture, we are very fortunate to have those festivals pretty much each summer in every month. this in particular is defqon 1 , it's in the netherlands and hosted once a year, it's incredeible. All people coming from this genre are the most wholesome people i ever met and partied with - love from germany, i'm in tears right now, loving your reaction!

This was my first Defqon. 2024 will be Defqon's 20th Anniversary edition. We know Q-Dance will do something epic. I will be celebrating my 56th birthday there! Will be my third time going.. Wouldve been my 5th if not for Covid! I had tickets for 2020. Needless to say the anticipation was so great. This orange heart cant wait for June! I Live For This!
This Thursday to Sunday defcon 1 will be held in place cold Biddinghuizen in the Netherlands. And yess every year.

Yes, yearly event, about in my backyard (its like 3 miles and I can hear the tunes). Endshows are on both saturday and sundays. Also check out the power hour, 1 hour of complete madness (stunt pilots, inflatables, confetti bombs, you name it).
Just one of the many festivals we have here, altough Defqon is one of the biggest. They do come with amazing decors each year.

This was the Red Stage (Mainstage) from the Defqon 1. On The Festival they build 10 stages complete. Red, Yellow, Black, Purple, UV, Silver, Gold, Blue, Magenta, Indigo.
This Festival is every year and every year the Red stage has another design. On the Saturday is the endshow and on the Sunday they playing the Closing Ceremony. Too a big lightshow with pyro efects.
The full Festival runs over 4days. Thursday - Sunday.

the first defqon i saw was the 2017 year endshow.. first time was so weird. next time i heard the same show until the end i felt something different that was so deep nothing in my life was so powerful like this . not even talking about how emotional i got. from this moment i changed my whole music taste into hard style. and now its my dream to be there
These huge outside festivals, are going strong for almost 30 years. They evolved so much.
People in that time, said Hardore would never last. It didn't just last, it is still growing.
We shamed the world by bringing all the "Big Brother" - like TV shows, but I hope Defqon brought back confidence in the Dutch.

This is in The Netherlands at a town called Biddinghuizen. I was at the 2022 edition and it was AMAZING! Also this is the main stage but there is a lot more stages! Btw I would also recommend checking out the 22 Closing Ritual and the 2022 Powerhour as it easily beats the 2023 version in my opinion!

It started off essentially as a hardstyle event, but over the years has progressed onto other genres of hard dance music.

Welcome to the Defqon party teh Netherlands. This event takes place every year and lasts 4 days. Most of the music played is hardstyle and related genres such as hardcore, jumpstyle and hard trance. Weekend ticket costs around 300 per person and then the camping is added. This festival is known throughout Europe and sells out within minutes. The first was the 'Maximum Force Readiness' edition in 2003, and since then editions such as 'Get Wasted' and 'No Guts No Glory' have been celebrated. The popularity of Defqon 1 grew so fast that spin-off versions have also been organized in Chile and Australia since 2011, which has also been a great success. This show was of course the first after the corona pandemic (4 years) and is getting bigger and bigger every year with different stages and 65,000 visitors every day. On Saturday they always do an aftershow like this and on Sunday close ritual. For me personally, this one and the one from 2018 and 2023 are the best.

This is in the Netherlands as you can read in the other reactions, Defqon 1 is every year and is the biggest hardstyle festival in te world but in fact almost every weekend there are several festivals across the country, smaller, mid sized en the big ones like Defqon 1, Dominator, Decibel outdoor , Mysteryland, Awakenings Summer Festival, Dancevalley, and many other outdoor festival and also there are a lot indoor festivals. the endshows are always amazing.
Q dance events are the more harder style festival, Always awesome.

Defqon is the biggest festival in the harder styles of dance music in the world. 4 days of absolute insanity. Some, like me, call this home. Can't wait for it to be june again!

And in my opinion, this Phoenix Bird Stage, was the best looking, most beautiful Stage, that they have ever built... the one from 2023 was "ok-ish", sure, still nice, but my second favorite was the stage from 2018, kinda like a cross between a bird and a crab .. now i am curious for the 2024 stage, as it is the 20th anniversary. i expect something off the scale, hehehe we will see :)

the thing is, you always see this stage. but defqon has like 12 stages, this is the main stage, its 4 days, if you can go, go! there is nothing like this. they have more festivals, like Q-base. Qontinent, QLimax. Detiqated and much more. but Defqon 1 is the biggest hardstyle event of the whole world. there like 60k people at the main stage at the endshow
