The batter is too thick thats why its like that. Batter needs to be thinner as in the wet batter before its cooked. A lot of people make that mistake.

Even in the field of coating style batters that looked poor by any measure. However, sometimes a coating batter can return a favour by carefully cosseting a heavily flaked and moist fish... but no... you pulled a double blank..

I been few times and service is always good. But, fish and chips aren’t up to code for me. Some times if you go at quite time you get stone cold chips.
cooked in veg oil ..no bounce on the fish ..mmm..its a flat fish 😍 ..seems far to smooth ..chips dont look that good either ..so many reviews from you with miles better fish and chips...great video as standard !

Curry sauce looked decent, chips also but jeeez that was very lame cod fillet no doubt cheaper low grade 👎🏽 and unfortunately the batter looked awful waaay to thick and spongy soaking up too much grease 🤮.
That batter looks horrific. I avoid places that sell burgers, kebabs and fried chicken. Fish is hard to get right. It’s needs their full attention.

That type of batter is not what I like... I like the bubbly crisp thin batter. I would not rate that fish at all. Chips looked good. If I went there I would probably go for something else... sausage or something (provided its Halal of course), or chicken or something.... I do not like that hard case type batter...
