Just had 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 dark red professional detail today . The detail shop uses Jescar power lock plus on exterior, and WOW, what a game changer. The paint was shine was super slick, and what a deep shine. I will be ordering this tomorrow. Very impressive with this product. And yes, I do recommend this product.
I used Power Lock+ for a couple of years and bought some Ultra Lock+ recently. All I can say is that both products are insanely good. Application and removal are the easiest I've ever experienced, and the durability and shine are no less fantastic as well. I may try out the Ceramic Spray Wax since the previous two products I mentioned perform so excellently.
In the past, I used PowerLock with Colinite 845. Pan the Organizer and Obsessed Garage dialed me onto this combo. Purchased and applied ULTRA LOCK +Colonite 845 in November, 2022. A week later, Inapplied the Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax. Car glowed after I finished. Todays date is February,2023 and UltraLock is four months and still looking great.
I put powerlock on my truck last October, i washed my truck in April and could still see water beading. It's important to note that my truck is over 220k and I spend winters in the greater Yellowstone area.
I use polymer on every vehicle. Use the polisher…. DA that is and it will glow!!! This stuff is amazing!!! Not so sure bout those ceramic infused products. Everyone talks bout hydrophobic properties and I’ve tried a few but I don’t think they are very efficient and lasting very long. Not here in the south with these monster UVs. He said water beading like 10 times. I do love their polymer though.
@@brianhickey5949 I’m new to this and bought a da polisher and was gonna put powerlock with collinite 845 after correction. Have you heard of this combo?
@@georged1085 I have. That is the tried and true combo from a few years back. Collinite is a thick long lasting wax - you may need to warm it a bit before use depending where you live. I have found that waxes containing ceramic or graphene give a better gloss and last a bit longer. Your choice, though!
@@brianhickey5949 I really appreciate your feedback. Have you heard of anyone using 845 with ultra lock? I can’t find much on it and I’m wondering if some reason the collinite wouldn’t layer as good. Sorry for being a bother lol
I would like to know when I did the polishing with the DA polisher. Do I need to do and IPA Clean Up before applying the Ultralock + or I could go directly after the polish step.
That would be the best option. Just make sure that the vehicle is in a good area where the elements don't interfere with the cure time. You should be good to go after that!
Can you use these products on a fiberglass boat? I have a Red hull and oxidation is a challenge. I use power lock now and need more UV protection. Will ultra lock help me give me an advantage against the sun?
The products will bead up water when it rains, when water beads up as such it can create water spotting. However the water spots that are left are typically very minor that can simply be removed with a detail spray or a car wash. If the water quality is bad (ex acid rain), then it can cause severe water spotting that needs to be removed by machine polishing.
Jescar products are definitely no joke. Great quality. Staples in my business.

I'm using Ultra Lock + right now.
The wipe off is incredible. SO slick. Nice work, Jescar. The owner of this car is going to be very happy!

Great to see Jescar improvements to a solid product line.

This is a amazing topper 👏🏽👏🏽

Just the intel I was looking for !!!
Power Lock + has been a mainstay here for years. I definitely will use this new Ultra Lock +. Thanks for the heads up guys!
Is it better?
@@georged1085 the results i see are pretty great. I would recommend it 👌

How does this compare with the Wolfgang high gloss sealant 3.0?

great stuff.👍
if you finish up with the ceramic spray wax, should you be waiting the minimum 3 hours cure time to do so?
That would be the best option. Just make sure that the vehicle is in a good area where the elements don't interfere with the cure time. You should be good to go after that!

Yes. I use it on my sailboat. It works great on gelcoat as long as it has been polished properly and there is no oxidation when applied.
Ultra lock plus is absolutely awesome. Blows the composition out of the water. Maguires ultimate liquid wax don't stand a chance....
How do these products deal with water spotting? My biggest complaint with modern crystalizing coatings is their high probability to spot.
