It's pretty ironic when you think about it. Because GTA 4, set in Liberty City, came out in 2008, and GTA5, when you return to Los Santos, came out in 2013. That's a five-year gap between the two games.

GTA San Andreas is a classic and it proves that you don't need eye candy graphics to create a fun game from beginning to end. A good story, likeable charcters, and engaging gameplay beats graphics everytime. Great graphics along with the following elements can turn a great game into a classic.
I hope it gets a remake.

I was 16 years old when this game came out and I remember the game industry moving very fast at the time, from the switch of 2d to 3d game worlds. But I remember playing this game and realising that it probably doesn't get much better than this. Now I'm 33 and this is still one of the best games I've ever played

The very first GTA game I've ever played and I still miss it. Love everything about it and of course hearing Samuel L Jackson as Officer Tenpenny. GTA San Andreas and GTA 5 will always be my favorite video games ever. :)

I remember getting GTA San Andreas for Christmas back in 2004 on the PS2 I was so happy and amazed by this game. This game will forever be apart of my childhood. Great story and great characters.
I love how quickly it takes a turn in tone when you meet big smoke... First you sense Carls sorrow in returning home and seeing the old house again etc... And then he hears memories about his mom and him and his brothers and then in the middle of that touching moment comes Big smoke from the kitchen and shouts "YOU PICKED THE WRONG HOUSE FOOL!" and BAM the dramatic moment is ruined... But thats why i love the GTA Series... There is never a dull moment neither humorous nor mildly touching at times XD

Gamble Animations Not for PS3 yet, but 2 days ago was San Andreas's 10th Anniversary, so on Xbox 360, they released a "remastered" version of San Andreas, which fixes some annoying things in the game such as losing everything when you die and they made the option to retry missions. There is also slightly better graphics and it is in 720p resolution.
I think my eyes just disintegrated...

ahhh! brings back my childhood memories. i've been replaying this mission back then bc i had to go back to the start bc it won't literally save. the farthest mission i've played was the one with the car that you have to jump or twist it. it won't let me pass the game even though i'm pressing the right controls just maybe bc of bugs. but i never got tired of it, played it the whole day during the weekends.

San Andreas has the best GTA opening ever. You learn so much about the story and CJ's personality. The scene where he walks into his childhood home makes him such a fleshed-out and well written character.
I have been playing this game since childhood😪, it is a game with a very beautiful scenario ✌✌✌
Man, back when I played this as a kid, I never took much attention at how the graphics looked it. It felt like the best game in the world, and its still the best GTA of all the series, no matter how good GTA 5 is, youre not gonna get that same feeling
