I don't know of any data on using stem cells to help an ACL tear heal.

    Hello Dr .
I have an acl tear on my left knee , what graft should I use to replace it ..allograft or autograft .. ?
Autograft Patella tendon I wouldn't take bc my job requires to work on my knees.
So I'm thinking hamstring autograft or allograft.
What would you recommend me Dr?

Generally I'm a fan of autografts because they have a lower failure rate.

Thanks for your info sir, it is very useful. My acl was completely torn 6 months ago now I am fit again and back to my base ball sport and 6 days intense workout and I am able to manage them without problem. So if I continue this way is my knee going to give me a problem in my 40s or 50s (now I am 27), please give me your response. :)
    Thank you
    Mach
