Jason Brown disagree completely. Metallica completely sold out to be mainstream (from master of puppets on) their complete sound has changed and Flotsam and Jetsam style same way now as they did from 81 on.
Jason Brown I won’t disagree with that statement. Many thrash metal bands sold out for the lighter metal, alternative and grunge sound from the early 90s but there were still quite a few bands that held onto a heavier sound and were quite successful, Preist, Slayer, Malmsteen, Prong, Crüe, Danzig, and Maiden just to name a few. And they all still have large followings to this day. All proof that you don’t have to sell out to a new sound to remain successful.
I remember seeing these guys when I was a teenager in the 90's....Bogart's in Cincinnati was the best ever. Any band, if you waited in the alley behind the venue, you could meet. Anyone who played there. It was unavoidable for any band to get away untouched. I still have their autograph on a piece of paper with "friends" phones numbers on it that I used carry in my wallet. Listening to these guys, especially the "No Place For Disgrace" album significantly helped curb my teenage self loathing.
Unbelievable all these guys still have full heads of hair. I loved F AND J way back in the golden years of metal and thrash. I was an 80s teen and proud of it🙂
As great as I remembered them. Used to be such a mega fan back then, when NO PLACE FOR DISGRACE came out!! Now, after decades, they lost NOTHING .. !!!!
Catch FLOTSAM AND JETSAM as they headline Amplified Festival UK Saturday 20th July 2019🤘 Full Line Up and Further Info plus Tickets available at amplifiedrocks.com
I was there from the beginning. There should be a "Big Ten" instead of a "Big Four": Flotsam, Exodus, Helstar, Overkill, Death Angel, Testament, Metal Church!
I remember sitting in old eldon square in Newcastle like 88 with this album on tape playing this album on some random metal female getto blaster after i bought her 2liter cider mid afternoon.. Sat one warm summer afternoon good times with my m8s.
I'm saddened over the cancellation of the tour, I realize crew availability is inevitable, but the lack of ticket sales is the worse. I don't understand, if there was a big 5 F&J should be on it, you guys are amazing and intense as ever. I will continue to listen to my 35 year old cassettes and my CD's but I'm gonna stream F&J till it come out my ears 🤘
A legend recommended me this song cause I told him about how I farted in a Sushi restaurant offending the Chef and he said my story reminded him of this song.
Sadus, Coroner, Depressive Age, Forbidden, Vio-lence, Equinox, Toxik, Testament, Destruction, Overkill, Flotsam, etc... so many superb acts but unfortunately people listen to metallica's 1981 - 2023 crap. God have mercy!!!
I've been introduced to their first album which was a copy from a music store in my town..got my original second and first album few years later...suah a hard to find..man I've grown old already
They need to re-mix or if that fails, re-record this album. The only thing that kills this album for me is that the production is total trash, and this is coming form a guy that isn't that picky about production. Personally, I would rather take a remix as it will still possess the original vibe and attitude of the original release. However, I'm guessing that they don't own the rights or ownership of the original stems (or possibly destroyed in the 2008 Universal Studios fire) so a re-recording is the next best thing. I know that as re-recordings are understandably controversial, but the band is still tight and the lead vocals still sound great for his age, so I believe they could pull it off.
They re-recorded the album, but they changed the lyrics to Hard on You and made it about downloading music. The album sounded good, but that was a disappointment.
One of my favourite thrash albums since it debuted.
Now kids this is what the real metal heads listened to back in the day.
One of the best thrash albums ever recorded. Their first two records are MUST own

Wonder if they chose not to sell out and go big.

A legend recommended me this song cause I told him about how I farted in a Sushi restaurant offending the Chef and he said my story reminded him of this song.
How do I get that shirt with just skull and band name ( preferably black and white only)
Flotsam & Jetsam, Exodus, Death Angel, Suicidal Tendencies, Testament: The "other" four. I know, that's five. Metalheads can't do math though.

Got to see them open for King Diamond. Being old has its advantages. Haha.
I just heard of this band 10 minutes ago in a Jason Newsted interview. Wow, these guys make TSOL sound like frogs.

enjoying his self-induced "retirement" :(

Rhythm guitar was too low in the mix. Shame... It seemed like a great rendition.

They already re-recorded it. Sounds pretty good.
