Are these mallets discontinued? Overall, such great articulation. I'm jealous of the crispness of your Janos. Also, love that you just place everything on the edge of the bar. I've had two people insist you have to have to aim for the center. You prove otherwise (and it's what I have done." Where do you play?

Thanks! I don't know if the mallets are still made. It is ludicrous to get all hung up or dogmatic about edge/center. On a good instrument, the edge is fine. Don't let anyone force you ... YOU have to play it, not them. If you do not sound good, or comfortable, will THEY be responsible for it? No, you will ...

Alex Frederick-Percussion yes I am a free lance player in Salt Lake City utah. Placement is something I’m obsessed with but I’m not dogmatic. I know a symphony player in Texas who is insistent that everything should be center. Are you on Facebook? My buddy and I have used your videos for reference for audition prep.

@@frontensemble077 No, I don't do facebook. I am happy that the videos have helped you. Part of my aim was to provide a no b.s., up close look at this stuff. Again, keep your mind and ears open, and have the courage to go your own way.

Alex Frederick-Percussion I agree with that. It’s good to have a reference point. Most of the material at there is terrible. Yours is high class. I won one audition but my shoulder injury prevented me from joining the marines. My Air Force auditions were canceled of course. Although I do have a zoom audition coming up. Do you have an email? I’d love to have that for future correspondence.

Thank you ... try the orchestral excerpt books by Raynor Carroll (xylophone vol. 1&2) You'll find a lot in there!
