Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever on bells - July 4th special!!
Sousa's Star's & Stripes Forever
Piccolo part at the end can be doubled on the glockenspiel.
This is very effective and fun!
It may be good to know this in the orchestra key(G, played here), as well as in A-flat for bands.

I Found This Image For The Brazil Yet. 🥁
Weird to watch rudimental snare being played matched grip.
I play solos from this book everyday. Great material. Love your drum. Nice sound. Thanks for posting.
MB shadow series?

Great cover!
Awesome!
Amazing !
Some great stuff here
May I ask what mallets you are using? I am playing this solo, and I cannot seem to find mallets that have the volume and tone that I am looking for.
Not sure if it's what he's using, but I recommend Christopher Lamb CL-X1 mallets, gray medium rubber. I find them to be perfect for ragtime xylo!
Super clean
Superb!!
Trying to play this in 8th grade just because it sounded really cool
Yo same
this is definitely out of your skill range 👍☺️
@@BattleForAPrize yup, i learned all the notes but couldn’t play it fast enough 😔

Notes?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
bueniiiisimo!! podrías compartir la partitura? gracias!! Saludos desde la ciudad de Resistencia provincia del Chaco república Argentina
When you flush out the note sounds, it sounds like tap dancing which is satisfying
Nice sounding drum. Very responsive. Thanks for posting.
I can’t believe you nailed that all in one take! Incredible work. Wow!
00:19 thank you^^
Awesome playing. Where can I get the excerpt(s) for city noir?
WOAH
What's up with those sticks?
George Hamilton Green was not really a jazz or swing player. He gets only 16 references in Brian Rust's Jazz Records but 76 in his American Dance Band Discography. All the sides under his own name or with his brothers are in the Dance volume. He emerged as an early recording artist from 1917 before the jazz players and was connected to ragtime at that point.
that snare sounds amazing
Great playing, Alex! Xylophone makes so much fun!😊
I wish that you would have paid homepage by playing with traditional grip as it visually would have enhanced the many flam strokes within the piece. The new Pearl ancient field drum sounded wonderful. Many thanks for sharing.
Are you a robot cus that’s perfect
Alex, This is amazing on many levels: technique, phrasing, musicality. I'm learning Escapades---all 3 movements. My stickings are 95% the same as yours. Is there an excerpt guide that this is in? Are there standard stickings? Or is this still the wild frontier and a little bit of mallet common sense? So far, I chose some stickings and as the tempo reaches my target of 120, if changes are necessary, then they are made. It's the last page and ending that I'm still flip flopping over...I'm doing the wind ensemble arrangement, is it the same as the orchestra arrangement? Many thanks in advance if you have the time to answer these questions...

Excellent rendition. Really enjoyed that. Thanks for posting.

where did you buy the sheet music from? any help would be appreciated!
Fabulous playing!
Wonderful ☺️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍!!!!!
Very well done! This is now a great resource for someone who is learning the repertoire, or someone preparing for an audition. Thank You!
How did you get the music for this? My undergrad library (in the UK) had it, but that was a few years ago now and I haven't found it online.
I got it a long time ago. Maybe Steve Weiss music has it.
It might be too late, but JW Pepper would be a good place to look online

DONE
What is your brand xylophone and what is the octave range?, also amazing playing!, in getting my first xylophone soon it’s gonna be a 3.5 octave Majestic Padauk Xylophone (concert frame). I bought it because I want to improve my mallet percussion skills and eventually join the army band!
Amaaazing, what does your drumstick have? Moleskin?
Yes, sometimes I like to use it, because my hands get sweaty! Hope you got something out of this video!
Are those Coopermen?
The sticks are Reamer "Abel" model ... thanks fro listening ...
Amazing!
Thanks!
