It's the same circuit of the Boss RV-5. There's no copyright regarding circuits, except for the visual haestetics. Behringer it's a colossal company, in China there's even Behringer city. They own several company's, including Tc Electronic, their products are good.
A lot of times, long reverb times equal mud. I know this is different for specific group settings or solo, but with a band, shorter decay times are fine, imo.
I have a Game-changer Audio Plus coming in the mail and it seems like this would be a good one to throw into the effects loop of the Plus - I kind of want ambient mud and have one of these on the shelf. It’s on the shelf because i wouldn’t want to use it for pristine expressive reverbs on melodic work on my electric bass. It will be interesting to see if it works well in that capacity
Plenty of large reverb sounds and choices which is very nice but like you said the trail time doesnt linger long enough. I think its called trail. I'm still learning
Nice demo !. Do you think that it could catch also from nylon strings ? or is it somehow linked only to metal strings to produce the effect ? my guitar is a classical one with pick up.
it is a great pedal, specially for its price the circuit board is an exact replica of the boss rv-5 only thing that bothers me is the plastic casing, feel like it can break anytime I press it down on my pedal board. understandable for its price tho
I have three of these plastic pedals. They feel as though they might break when you're installing a battery, but you'd be daft to do that anyway with these thirsty units. Tough enough for the money.
I have the first version, dr100 .since 2005 . Same thing Inside just relabeled... It’s still going strong, but the lettering on the top of the pedal are completely worn away. I only use plate and modulate. I always talk about buying another reverb pedal. And then I say why,.. I’ve changed all my pet since then. And this is still the only one left. It’s amazing. I had the reverb machine once. But I sold it to get money to buy something else. This is one of the best behringer pedals they ever made , if you find a DR 100 the tone control has a better sweep than the DR 600. So look for that one.
The input is mono from a guitar, and then the reverb algorithms in the pedal create a stereo field (with some minor modulation or other effect) via the two outputs, that will then get sent / panned to the left and right channels, in the hope of creating a sense of 'space' for the player / listener / audience etc. The point being that minor variations in each output channel make it sound more interesting than just having a single mono output.
I want to add this for vocals , reverb sounds much better however I m unsure of the whole balanced unbalanced thing as the behringer mic has 3 contacts on the lead and not sure which cables I d need to buy. Total newbie question so my apologies 🙏
Sounds like your microphone needs an XLR connection. Most guitar pedals don’t have XLR inputs (like this behringer), so you need to find a female XLR to 1/4” TRS cable to run a mic into the pedal. Hope this helps
Do you have an interface with inserts? If so, connect your mic to channel one, an then conect a ts from the insert chanel 1 to the pedal. Then, from de pedal go back to channel two. I hope this helps, sorry for my english
I actually quite like the sound of this pedal. And it has the maximum decay that I'd want from a reverb. I don't like long reverbs, since they just tends to cloudy up everyrhing 😅
@@CG-rf6nu but why do you have your reverb going into an amp? Should either be in an fx loop or somehow routed in a studio setup to come after the amp for the best result. Unless you specifically want the artifacts you might get from running it into the amp. I wouldn't go with the boss one myself, because to me it sounds less desireable than this one. Every piece of gear I've gotten over the last 10 years have sounded as I expected from the demos :)
@@CG-rf6nu well sorry, I missed that. Had just woken up and not taken my ADHD meds yet. Don't have to be rude and say that I'm full of hot air though haha 😅
I already use behringer pedal for 5 years. All pedal still ok until now. Tone quality same like expensive pedal. No need spend much money to get BOSS😂😂😂
What is so bad about this one apart from the knob not clicking into place? Im looking at other reverb pedals that are double the price but have only one knob when this one has 4 and even different modes. I dont want to spend much money (up to 100$) so i dont know if i should get it.
I would say there are better options than this for under 100USD, such as a used RV-5, TC HOF (used) or perhaps something from Caline et al if you prefer new. This pedal is okay for shorter, low mix reverbs but the tails cut off quite abruptly in all the modes so not so good for ambient stuff.

I've had some TC kit. It's variable quality and sometimes usefully quirky. Great for the hobbyist who has time to create settings online.
I thought it was on Germany that city
Behringer is a German company that uses chinese factories
I'm pretty sure they're owned by a massive Chinese company named Music Tribe, but yes Uli Behringer is German
@@PedalScience Thanks for the warning.😊💯❤👍👍👍👍👍
Sound freaking amazing to me
Same here :)
And I don't want a longer decay time anyways.
It's an alright pedal, but it is REALLY easy to overdo it with the Level dial. I think 9 o'clock is about the highest you want.
Buy it for the modulate. Use the other 'verbs sparingly to season your set. Save up for a fancy unit if you will really use it.
Its not the Boss but very useable sounds in there. It has its place for sure. Great demo!
A lot of times, long reverb times equal mud. I know this is different for specific group settings or solo, but with a band, shorter decay times are fine, imo.
You know a guy is giving you ca-ca del toro when he says "there are better pedals for less money" but he doesn't seem to be able to name any.
no you are right I forgot how cheap these are!

yes it would work with nylon strings as long as the pickup works for those strings.
the plate sounds good.

Works best in wet/dry or w/d/w or in a parallel effects loop
better than boss for sure
I don't think so!
Would i be able to plug a saxophone microphone with this device?
yes
If I mix both the reverb through the chorus what’s the benefits

Okay
Only thing missing is a usb to computer interface to edit the reverb parameters, but for the price it is what it is.
Analog Pedal ?
@@Masterbro1972 For patches send/receiving and adding your own Reberb IR but that would make this a hybrid Fx pedal.
any other reverb pedal that has stereo and this cheap? I am using studio monitors and only 1 channel works because my current reverb is mono
not that I'm aware of
A cheap old processing unit like a 20 yr old Line 6 POD might should have stereo headphone out you can do ¼” to ⅛” adapters.
Can i use violin in this
if it has a pickup then yes
Is it XLR input and Stereo output?
1/4" TS input, and yes stereo output

does this pedal sound good with distortion?
Yes pretty good!
@@PedalScience omgg, ty!!!
Is it made of metal or plastic?
Plastic case on these
can it go 100% wet?
Not quite unfortunately
@@PedalScience thx for the reply
Its a veey useable pedal, but, keep everything veeeey low or it siunds disgustingly muddy. imo.
Was actually ready tos send back before i read this - thank you!
Agree. I have this on a secondary board and have tried many times to like it but really I can’t. Tonight it’s done 😂
Can this be used for microphone or vocals?
yes you would just need an XLR to 1/4" jack cable
Can 2 mic be used with this same time?
I don't see why not
