I mean, when I got out of Eureka and regained access to Intervene, it made me realize that they couldn't give such a skill as Rough Divide to the new GNB tank so early on at Lv.56 and not give a similar ability to PLD which only gets it at Lv.74. Also the Koreans seem to like DRG too, so much hype on it!

@@Banana-cc5rx I think its because with dps, everything is just more damage but with different special effects and animations. Where as if you are a healer or tank (like me) its the possibility of having more damage options where its generally not a focus for the classes, or more utility that helps with performing our intended role. AS a PLD myself I was incredibly ecstatic finding out that we finally had a gap closer, and new damage moves especially atonement. And with the addition of both Confiteor and holy circle, there is more of a reason to use our magic for other than healing. and more aoe damage.
I don't remember any WoW presentation with the players cheering that much at class/job changes. My god. Super excited for next expansion...SMN already have Bahamuth and Phoenix....if they give us Alexander I'm gonna lose my freaking mind.

I think people were more focused while watching that, it's not necessarily a bad thing, especially since it showcased something new that involved a party member instead of just bashing and shooting the enemy with flashy moves. Besides, DNC moves are less hype and more pretty, so it's kinda fitting people are more mesmerized by it, kinda like how people would respect such an elegant dance performance in real life.
As i see it, every new Job usually not 'look' as hyped as old job because we dont know anything. We focused on what can they do rather than what new or what upgrade. Other old job is hyped because each jobs have fans, and each fans group are waiting for something new for their loved jobs.
That'll probably have just been because dancer was brand new and it wasn't as obvious how being a dancer would actually work, so people would've been paying close attention to try and figure out what they could.
I think after watching the Dancer part again, I see what the FFXIV team wanted to show for DNC. Obviously the skill animations and playing DDR were the main parts, but they made a point to show the DNC dash backwards and do a Standard Step, and showing that the attack still hit the target dummy. They were trying to show how ridiculously huge the AoE of the Step skills were, but it just wasn't very obvious...
