Bought a Core GR Feb '23. I like the uniqueness of the 3 cylinder that is suffering from a serious case of pissed off. A small downside, get ready for more brake dust than you've ever seen before.

Gotta say I wanted the CE, but as a car guy and knowing I'd be purchasing one for year round driving, which meant Canadian winters; I could NOT bring myself to put a CE ltd production car through our harsh winters... but I sure did want that carbon roof! Ultimately, the core is so very impressive and I feel can't be called a Corolla (coming from a 2019 6spd XSE); it's just so different. looking forward to your updates!
Good video. I overdid my mods in first WRX I had. Miss my Launch Edition STI. Disappointed that it was discontinued. Such is why am going for GRC Circuit Edition as well. Take delivery next week.
Interesting as that is exactly what happened to me. Overdid mods on first WRX and then could no longer get it inspected. Then got a Launch Edition with sports exhaust and loved it. A top 5 car for me. But had a chance to get a preowned AMG and traded it for that. Wish I didn’t have to trade it but I did. Had 2 other WRXes but was always disappointed with them vs STI. GR purchased for the same reasons you sited. Hope to keep for awhile but only time will tell. Will not be doing technical performance mods as I believe that hurts resale value. Love the car so far but only have 1500 miles on my 2024 Circuit Edition.
I have a 2019 sti stage 2+ pro tuned, purchased in 2020 and tuned shortly after, it has been absolutely great for me with no issues whatsoever 🙏🏼 I work for Toyota and have recently been thinking about trading for a 2024 grc premium, I feel like I will miss my sti but something is making me want to trade..

Congrats on getting the CE. Got a full spec Core and love it. Start with the intake and exhaust upgrades followed by ECU mod. Thats for a good 40 to 60hp bump. Maybe upgrade the tires to pilot sport cup 2's for extra grip 🤔
Good on the editing efficiency idea, yet this one was a breath of fresh air being 6 min. Most are 10-15 minutes. To their credit, they are showing the car perform, so maybe intertwine action into the narrative. “Good Form”!

Bought my Core for $40.5, MSRP + $1600 dealer add ons. Didn't like it but acceptable under today's market. Plus I'm 73 and the clock is ticking a little louder for me than most people interested in the GR. Spread out your search
These are cool, I like that the car exists at all! I share your opinions on the STI as I had one for a few years but went into an M340. Had these been out when I sold the STI, this one would have been a no brainer. Enjoy!!
@stevethomas760 current wrx owner and there was a gr available. Really thought of getting it but yeah. The wrx is a better fit. Got in it and sadly not as comfortable on the back as I wanted it to be
@@felixcortes5005 My '05 WRX hatch is roughly the size as the GR. For me the GR is tighter inside and the visibility isn't as good as my old Subie. No car is perfect but the GR is a good pick for me. One thing Subaru has going for it , MSRP. Local dealership, "if we sell over MSRP Subaru will cut our allotment". I owned WRXs for 20 years. Thank goodness we have a choice of some very good performance cars

WRX owner of 20 years. My '02 I kept for 17 years. Sold it with 208K miles. A solid car, maintenance and not tuning it within an inch of it's life. Respect for the car. Own a GR Core

Yes I’m lazy sometimes, who cares. I drive in bumper to bumper traffic everyday, so yes I’d like the option sometimes Using rev match doesn’t make anyone less of a driver either. The driver who set the FL5 record at the Nurburgring also used rev matching. If a pro driver uses it to set a world record time, I’m pretty sure we’re not above using it ourselves.
