Random Crap Playz Weeell the titan was quite fast so I think he would’ve catched her at some point anyways, but yeah she might have been a _little_ too much into writing
This titan worshiped Ymir... and that gave it back a spec of her humanity. When she met Ilse, she remembered her past life as a human, remembered Ymir, and it gave her the first words she probably spoke in 60 years. And she tried so hard not to hurt her, getting into a bow, clawing at her face, even when she had her in her mouth, she hesitated, did her best to restrain herself until she just... couldn't. So she put Ilse in a tree, and worshiped her. Never leaving her side again. Made sure her corpse was preserved and respected. It was the only thanks she could give for having a small part of her psyche restored.
@@markc5728 I also consider the Scouts who died believing they were risking their lives for the real, literal future of humanity to be in the moral right. Their motives were extremely honorable to me
If you look closely, it seems like the Titan is trying to rip at the same part of the face that the humans inside the titans have those red connectors that connect their flesh to their titan body - you know, the thing that connects Eren's face and cheeks to the Attack Titan. It seems like it represents the human inside trying to tear at those connectors and free themselves from the titan body, almost as if the human within the talking Titan was suddenly aware that it was inside the titan and tried to rip itself free.
Only the 9 intelligent titans have a pilot and tendons that connect them to the titan-suit. The rest are just humans that have literally morphed into titans-- if you would cut their nape, you wouldn't find any pilot inside. It's an interesting theory though Edit/I was not fully accurate. According to chp 50 of the manga, only the spine of a human remains intact inside a pure titan, in constrast to the whole body being intact inside the nine titans.
@@alexb741 that’s not true they were just trying to destroy all the chunks (nape specifically) from rods Titan so there’s no chance of it regenerating. There’s no implication of his human body still be present
Ymir in AoT actually said: "Being a mindless titan is like, you can see whats happening but you have no control." I think they said that but this is what I have to say. Titans are morphed hugely, that's probably why they aren't in the nape like titan shifters, they have a natural instinct to kill humans, like we have an natural instinct to eat food sometimes, but titans always have the need to eat humans, and like their body tells them not to eat anything else, like us, if you were hungry would you eat metal or your clothes? The follower of Ymir talked because it had a special connection with Ymir, like Conny's mom, when he saw the titan of her she said "Welcome Home", but it didn't try to get up (probably because she knows she will fall), so maybe it was resisting? But anyway the titan was ripping it's face because it was trying to distract itself with pain so it would resist trying to eat Ymir. TLDR; Titans can resist and talk to humans if they have a strong bond.
If an Eldian has a strong motive they followed as a human, they transform into an Abnormal Titan that focuses on that goal. This talking titan wanted to serve Ymir, the smiling titan (Dina) wanted to find Grisha and/or his kids. Not sure about Rod Reiss's titan but it might've been trying to get to the city wall, "blocking" it off from the outside world, because Rod wanted to continue the legacy of the first king's peace by preventing people from leaving the island.
When they revealed how the Titans truly transformed into what they are in the scene with Ymir, I was absolutely blown away. This series has just been beautiful to watch, through every twist and turn.
A lot of the notable titans we’ve seen in the past have at one point appeared in the past as humans. That’s something I always look out for and I find that to be a really dope detail.
The Titans that attacked Erens squad in season 1 were all of Grisha’s old friends. The first two titan kills he gets are on two of his dads old comrades.
@@KindredMixedBlade When i rewatched season 1 after season 3 part 2, I remembered realizing it and thinking it was such cruel fate 🥲 it wouldn’t have been less cruel had it been other random titans but it just makes it harsher when you rewatch it.
I'd like to point out that the Talking Titan is the only Titan in AOT's history that was a non-shifter able to speak and prevent themselves from eating people. Lady had the mental willpower of an actual god. Like lowkey probably could have overridden the Kings Will if she was a royal. Even Armin and Eren were completely and utterly mindless titans once they got the serum. This chick was able to *SPEAK AND RESTRAIN HERSELF.*
2:41 The female scout was definitely one of those students that had 5 minutes left in her exam or homework that had to quickly write as much as possible before time was up

I didn't expect this video will get a lot of likes after posting this from a year ago, as about this titan who was once a cult member from 780. And put this video as a timeline in order when this woman was alive, and as a Titan.
Lmao the reason why incase anyone was wondering why the titan started ripping its own face is cause it was trying to fight the hunger and urge to eat her, that’s why you when she starts running and she looks at her there’s a weird camera motion on the titans face indicating her titan instincts basically have tooken over
@Tooop H They vary from person to person, I personally think it’s the theory where they were trying to keep themselves from eating her, because the titan ate her moment later.
@Tooop H no she’s just fighting the urge to eat her cause she doesn’t want, that’s why she’s crying when she’s eating her. Only titan shifters can leave a titan body.
Someone made a comment earlier about how the parts of the face being pulled apart look like the titan markings on a shifter's face, almost as though the human inside them were trying to escape, even though they're still just a titan. Thought it was actually interesting: even if it's not literal, it's still metaphorical in the nature or titans
@@littlesneets8026 Only Titan Shifters have actual their actual body inside the nape of their titan. For titans who aren’t titan shifters there whole conscious is in there nape.
@@stretchygeneral3433 I know, that's the point. The pure titans are no longer humans, they have no human body to return to, and they are doomed to follow the natural instincts of eating people witlessly, subconsciously hoping to eat a shifter to become human. But there was another theory about pure titans, especially abnormal ones, as to how and why they behave differently. I forgot the original post, but theoretically, before a person is turned into a titan, their final thoughts stay imprinted into the titan's mind, like a goal of some kind: The Smiling titan/ dina Fritz, only went after eren and anyone related to him, unless provoked, as dina stated "no matter what form I take, I will find you", which was her final words and thoughts to Grisha. This talking titan used to be a member of ymir worshippers cult in marley, before being transformed into a titan, and when it saw the scout, it mistook the resemblance for the 'lady ymir' it once knew, and seemingly tried to restrain itself from eating her. Other titans possessed minor thoughts resembling their human counterparts. Connie springer's mother was likely hoping to see her son again, and thinking about how she's going to greet him, before being turned into a titan, where her titan recognised him and said "welcome home..." In the second season in the first 5 episodes (I think), there are two abnormal titans who wrestle with each other, play fighting, likely because they were once children who were thinking about playing before being turned into titans. One of the titans summoned by Zeke's Beast titan, in season 3 part 2, is running with its fingers in the shape of a gun, pointing ahead of itself, likely because it may of been a child playing a game, or perhaps someone who was thinking about shooting at something. Thing is, the point I was making wasn't that the titans have their actual human bodies trying to get out of the titans, but that the last fragments of their humanity before being turned into titans, still lingers around in their minds as though they're still in there, somewhere. We know from eren's experiments, that titan shifters need a goal in order to transform, so what if in a way, the same applies to pure titans? But rather than that they need a goal to transform, they instead have a goal set in their minds that influences the behaviour of their titans as they transform anyway (to a degree), so like, if an eldian is injected with spinal fluid, then they're going to transform in a matter of minutes anyway, but their final thoughts are bedded into the mind of the pure titan?
Honestly, this just shows how much belief this person had in ymir, to the point of which , it literally resisted the titan instincts and tried to gauge its eyes out rather than to eat ymir
I think the talking titan was already "aware" before she met Ilse. Because she was sort of "looking" for Ymir. Remember what Ymir said, that being trapped as a pure titan felt like a nightmare that lasts for eternity ? Maybe for the talking titan's case, due to her royal blood, her "consciousness" was like almost there, but not yet. And when she met Ilse, she was moaning and was in agony because it must have triggered something within her. She was convinced it was Ymir, and her "consciousness" was trying to fight the nightmare.
Well we know from ymir that being a Titan is a never ending hell and we know the only way they can become human again is to eat a shifter. So the "hunger" the Titans feel is an instinct to eat everything in hopes of finding a shifter. That's why they are drawn to people and more specifically the people of Paradis. In this Titans case, you could see it trying to resist the urge to eat a human probably because at a basic level there's that human instinct to not devour another human. You see it rip at its face like a form of self punishment but in the end the urge to devour was still to strong. Then afterwards felt guilty and made a shrine/ grave for Ilse.
The Blondie knew the truth about ymir all along, but she kept quiet and it’s funny seeing her in her titan form actually able to speak. the writer is a genius

But I’m pretty sure it started raging because Ymir was the reason they turned into a titan. Because of Ymir lying she had the royal blood. CORRECT ME IF WRONG IM JUST SAYING WHAT I UNDERSTAND IN THIS CLIP LOL
Dont think she started raging because Ymir was the reason she turned into a titan. But because she simply is a titan. The last bit of human ( worshipping Ymir ) was fighting her true titan form ( wanting to eat humans ) In the end she lost her last bit of humanity and ate her

exactly what i thought, but that tree wasnt on the island of paradis tho, and the tree got destroyed when ymir transformed for the first time. it was probably isyama hinting at the actual tree with the spine creature more than anything
if ymir never turned into a titan and that cult was never found... she'd grow old living as a slave to those eldian's delusions that she's the reincarnation founder ymir and it might be possible that she's already dead during eren's time. this also means ilse would never encounter the talking titan and hange might have a different way of discovering titan's nature since there's no ilse's notebook.
I just googled how old Ymir is and she's officially 17. Thank god she's not actually 80 years old. Seriously. I don't want my Historia X Ymir ship to be ruined.
⚠️Since I used a translator, maybe there are some unnatural points. In this video, the lines of Talking Titan is translated as "Ymir-sama... Welcome...", but I think it is probably a mistake between "youkoso" and "yokuzo" in Japanese with similar pronunciation. The correct line is "yokuzo". "Youkoso" = "welcome" "Yokuzo" = well done, good, etc. The meaning in this scene is "I'm glad you were safe.
2:41 bro the fact that she kept writing is impressive but what a brutal ass death and it her final words were “like the pressure of a-“ what a cliffhanger
That titan clearly still had something of its conscience from when they were still human. It seemed to be trying to fight the urge to eat Ilse, but couldn't.
honestly, kind of feel bad for that titan. you can tell how dedicated they were to Ymir in their human form for that dedication to be passed on to them even in their titan life. poor thing. you can even see it struggling (when it was ripping its face) to stop its self from hurting that girl, cause it didn't want to eat her that it was even willing to die. although it couldn't succeed cause she started running and it thought Ymir was leaving it, so it lost control to stop her and ended up eating she. poor poor titan. making me so sad at 3 in the morning haha. -note, so sorry for my bad English, i am German so it is hard to speak the language but i am trying my best cause of how sad i am to see this video of this talking titan.
Yup, and that shows how well thought Attack on Titan is, even the most useless characters are remembered and feel like they are part of this world even if they only appeared in an OVA, watching Attack on Titan is only complete when you watch the OVAs
I was saddened when seeing this. Not because it was bad or anything but because I decided to watch all 3 seasons of AOT before watching the OVA. This woulda blew my mind if I didn't already know the backstory
I mean like duh get your perspective of her, titans were these mindless monsters who eat people seemingly without a reason. It's your only chance that you've seen a titan talking in sentences you understand, yes you could run but don't you wanna grab into that tiny bit of hope that you can ask the titan questions about what they are or their motives and hoping they could answer? Remember that this is the time where they don't even know marley at all, all they know is that outside the walls there are only mindless titans. They (or she) are that desperate for something that would answer the stupid logic of the world they live in.
Ilse had the ability to write while getting eating. She literally wrote down words on her notebook as her head was getting crushed. What superhuman are you?!?
She was really writing everything down until her last breath, if I could put even half of that dedication to my studies it will be even above what is required..
The mystery here, of Ilse's encounter, was in my mind several years, until much later when Ymir's background story was finally revealed, back then many people developed different theories, we all knew Ymir's name is from Nordic mythology and she must be of something important, but none of us guessed right. The Manga did show similarity between Ilse and Ymir's faces. Well, this is just one of the many fun parts of Attack on Titan. Good job 諫山創!

The only good people in the show are the titans it seems
And she seems to go back there when levi's squad found her. Like reminding herself to resist. Ilse is her reminder. Pretty interesting.

I think she's trying to hold her "titan instinct" she resemble the girl as Ymir and she don't want to eat her so she's stopping herself
Only the 9 intelligent titans have a pilot and tendons that connect them to the titan-suit.
The rest are just humans that have literally morphed into titans-- if you would cut their nape, you wouldn't find any pilot inside.
It's an interesting theory though
Edit/I was not fully accurate. According to chp 50 of the manga, only the spine of a human remains intact inside a pure titan, in constrast to the whole body being intact inside the nine titans.

Ymir in AoT actually said:
"Being a mindless titan is like, you can see whats happening but you have no control."
I think they said that but this is what I have to say.

I forgot the original post, but theoretically, before a person is turned into a titan, their final thoughts stay imprinted into the titan's mind, like a goal of some kind:
The Smiling titan/ dina Fritz, only went after eren and anyone related to him, unless provoked, as dina stated "no matter what form I take, I will find you", which was her final words and thoughts to Grisha.
Connie springer's mother was likely hoping to see her son again, and thinking about how she's going to greet him, before being turned into a titan, where her titan recognised him and said "welcome home..."
In the second season in the first 5 episodes (I think), there are two abnormal titans who wrestle with each other, play fighting, likely because they were once children who were thinking about playing before being turned into titans.
I miss the vibes of the first season AOT gives. Pure nightmare fuel
Well said bro, and seeing people outside the walls feels diff
Except the talking titan was a normal human and did not have royal blood
@@darkazon5343 oh really!? all this while i was sure i read somewhere that she was of royal blood. thanks for clarifying.
@@fikrifahmi1672 If she had royal blood, that cult would have been worshipping her, not Ymir
Are you thinking of Dina Fritz the smiling titan? Cause yeah she had royal blood the talking titan is just some abnormal titan
The Blondie knew the truth about ymir all along, but she kept quiet
and it’s funny seeing her in her titan form actually able to speak. the writer is a genius
Ilse: **getting her skull crushed alive**
Also Ilse: _WRITE THAT DOWN WRITE THAT DOWN_

The mystery here, of Ilse's encounter, was in my mind several years, until much later when Ymir's background story was finally revealed, back then many people developed different theories, we all knew Ymir's name is from Nordic mythology and she must be of something important, but none of us guessed right. The Manga did show similarity between Ilse and Ymir's faces.
Well, this is just one of the many fun parts of Attack on Titan. Good job 諫山創!
3:22 well this scene cant get out of my mind.... i mean if u look closely u can see its the "tree" where all started and ends just to start and end over and over.
I gues the titan was called by the thing that makes titans inside the tree
It's funny that this titan was actually a woman and has a better shape and more muscles than I'll ever have.
Imagine how much more the people on paradise would understand if levi didnt killed the Talking titan.
Hanje and the rest could take the titan inside the walls and do the same thing hanje did to bean and the other titan. Maybe the titan would speak to the real ymir and then the whole story would be clear and theyd do some attacks on marley or semthing and boom ez.
This ova was so intense to watch even until now
After lying to save her people which ended up getting them turned into Titans anyway, talking Titan still had love for Ymir
Is this the first person who’s will was strong enough to resist the urge to eat someone as a titan for atleast a little bit?
