Do you have a regular mat or a wooden mat in your shower?
Neat idea! Work with what you have though I think Teak would be perfect for that type pf project. I don't have any shower mat... Living on the edge! 😁
Thank you Jay, yes I Know Teak would have been perfect but it's expensive so I thought I would do it with what I had covering with a special sealant, works great!

Wood is porous... I don't need a mat, I clean my shower and bath regularly.
Mats are used to prevent slips
@@Artzandcatz If it doesn't have a non slip surface, just throw down a hand towel, and throw it in the laundry when you're done.

@@Artzandcatz That would be the cleanest and most practical way. Wood pores collect dirt and soap scum, trap bacteria, mold, mildew etc... just like everything else you leave wet and use daily. Just get a fresh hand towel every day instead of giving yourself something else to scrub down.
