After I finish a chapter, I come watch you guys :) I like the idea of marking an area explored. Probably need to mark which ones you want to come back to when you get a certain Status or more Reputation or whatever.
4:42:20 Here it happens again. You two are not in a party for that exploration. Rob spent the energy and did it solo, so you do not both get 1 exp and 1 magic. Gotta keep an eye on that.
You are right. Sometimes it says each player and sometimes it says the party. I need to catch that. My bad. Thanks for watching and pointing that out! :)
Or you could just let people enjoy the game and not point out every mistake. That’s also an option. Probably the better option.
@@TheDungeonDive In a normal game, you are absolutely correct. However in a streamed game which people will come to to learn the game playing by the correct rules is VITALLY important. Everyone should play however they want, its their game they should have fun... However teaching/watching/learning videos should be directly by the rules.
My copy finally arrived this week, and I made it through the first two chapters, which lets me know watch your vids - especially since I chose the same two characters to play. It's been interesting to compare your path with my own - I've ended up doing a lot more movement and encounters, at the expense (by comparison to your play through) of exploration. While I've never been in a pinch for food, and have more of the map (and opportunities) revealed by the end of chapter two, I think it's at the expense of having richer story moments. Hoping that our overall paths continue to align enough that I can keep watching. Much fun.
This game has so many ways to play which is great for the replay ability. Thank you for watching and we totally understand if you campaign takes a different turn then ours and you need to stop watching. Good luck with your play through.
Shouldn't it be victory check before end of turn on Combat and Diplomacy? (meaning you don't draw a card until after the mob does its action) It can matter because mobs can discard cards from top of the deck. - During the hounds encounter, you have drawn cards that should have been discarded.
It would be neat if there were one video that strings several combats and diplomacies together...would be mostly spoiler free but give more examples of this interesting system!
Thank you for the play through!
Ya combat is tough at first but it gets much easier once you get the hang of it. It is a fun little puzzle aspect to the game. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for so this great video series! One remark about Time Tokens. When you put a Time Token on a card to indicate a once per day ability (Mirror lake for example) you can put any type of token. This Time Token is not the one talked about when you explored the same location and you did the hunt action. In fact your hunt was successful. :)
Well that is good to know! Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching! :)
The biggest issue I see is that you suprised the Highwaymen (roughly 4:35), hence you should've drawn 2 cards (additionally) at the beginning of combat. Basically, you draw your starting hand then draw 2 more (since you surprise them!).
Also, is there a connection number between that forest and the titan steps? Can you really just move between them? :)
I am waiting on my game arriving and I wanted to get sleeves for it coming how many sleeves would you say I need?
Youa should move and do stuff togeather, both would have gained exp and stuff from bigger missions. If in party Maggot could farm magic and Arev food if needed. Rember where you can share energy by creating these thing. Same goes exploration and location daylies. If in same location and one gathers food and other not, the other still can participate in combat (join in to help). Maybe im wrong.. maybe
My first menhir was at 0 before I finished chapter 1. Didn't feel like I had any additional time either. Yours lasted much longer.
Yes, I feel like this game is pushing you forward so that you can not just take your time exploring each card and farming resources. They make it so you need to pick and chose what is important because your time is running out.
Thanks for the playthrough. Combat seems lengthy and limited usually to one person puzzling their hand and others watching/bored, esp at higher player counts. Would it be feasible for the other players to proceed with their turns/ movement/days while one person is puzzling out their combat? ie, simultaneous play? Combat person may miss out on some narrative, but you could catch them up, and in a way, that’s thematic. Thoughts?
If the group is a bit split and follows the idea of planning their day ahead, it could actually work. As you said, you'd need to catch them up, but theoretically, there should be nothing that speaks against that.
At 2:30:36, you can't play any more than two cards because the enemy was FAST

3:33:00 Rob should not have gained an experience as he wasn't in the party doing the explore. Also in the diplomacy before that Mel should have lost a Rep when her card was discarded due to the effect on it..
To piggy back on your comment, in the diplomacy encounter that you are referring to (3:25:15), Mel should not have been helping at all. Rob initiated that encounter as he moved into the zone, and since they were not moving together as a party, they do not get to party up for that encounter,
What sleeves do you use for your combat and diplomacy decks? Are they matte?
We use Dragon Shield Matte Clears. Thanks for watching!
@@RobsGamingTable what about the size? great work btw
You put the island card (lower left) in the wrong spot... I have no idea if this effects play, but just thought you should know. When you played the first episod it was on the other side of the card that has the sword across the middle.

I’m definitely modifying the rules on this game. Lol.
What rules specifically are you going to modify?
I think those highwaymen robbers should have not rob the lady in blue :) she escaped before... maybe those bad guys just thrown a stone or something but the goods should have stay in her possession - but this is only my assumption, could you please confirm that?
Added to our FAQ list which we're sending to Awaken Realms soon.
Yeah, well, we went a completely different direction in our play-through than you nice folks... so I am forced to stop watching this for fear of massive spoilers. Sadness, such sadness.
That is no problem we knew that would happen with a game so rich with story and with so many paths to choose. Good luck on your adventure!
