The Lady is the Lady of the Lake, that gave Arthur Excalibur initially. Morgaine is Morgaine LeFaye. Arthur's half sister and mother of Mordred. She is typically cast as a villain and antagonist to Merlin.
Indeed. The time token for location actions is placed on the "action", not the "location". So when you went to talk to the lady and it asked if there was a time token on the location, it would have been 'no' since your time token was only on the location action. Same thing applies for when you tried the hunt in episode 2. If you had done the hunt, you would see that the exploration asks you to put a time token on the location, which would then prevent you from hunting again or talking tot he lady. Hope this helps.
2:34:34 - Mel drew from her Combat deck instead of her Diplomacy deck. Then played the combat card in the diplomacy chain. This lead to her having a 3x free key which assisted in the win. That combat card is now shuffled into the diplomacy deck.
2:42:11 - Mel catches the combat card is in the diplomacy deck. Rob mentions he is worried about committing this mistake and hopes it did not mess up a previous sequence. Which it did, but may have still had the same result (Mel winning) with possibly less resources.
We got this answer from AR regarding instant encounters and if a character may face that encounter in a party if another player is allready in that location: The rules state players may always join any Action that starts in their Location. And while they do not specifically mention instant Encounters, it also apply to them. When you trigger such Encounter, all Characters already in the Location may decide to join you.
Also at 1:00:40 running from the Guardian, which technically I guess you could have spent the energy to run, then took the damage which would have amounted to the same thing. Just something to watch out for in future sessions.
Guys, I cannot even begin to explain how different our campaign is turning out to be. We discovered a TON of super cool stuff, we are also in Chapter 3, but we are in more or less on the other side of the island. :) vow, do I ever love this game...
At 37:55 ish Rob announced he was staying with the tainted grail, but it looks like he didn't take a magic cube. I thought that was the bonus for that item?
Another interesting game that has pulled me in, the more I watch you play it. The real question though: is it $325 USD good since its not in print, currently?..
I am not sure if you realize this or there have been other comments, you can freely trade a bunch of stuff between characters when you are on the same spot, including items. there is no reason for you to utilize only one single relic when the other player has no item from that "class". also, in our playthrough, we routinely pass all the "combat gear" and the "diplomacy gear" based on what kind of encounter we anticipate - such as, going for a hunt or entering a settlement etc. this can be super powerful and in general spread out resource gain or health loss and terror gain.
Just checked the faq just to be sure. When the menhir faded out at about 57 minutes there was a guardian on one if the locations that was discarded. Per the FAQ the guardian should have been discarded and not moved up. The only time a guardia moves to a specific location number is when you roll the die and cant move it.
@@RobsGamingTable Excellent thanks. I actually wondered if that's what they were-- clean shuffle, matte finish haha. They look great on screen. Thanks for the playthrough!
We understand that this game is full of spoilers and most we show however there are a few things that we can avoid showing so that other will be able to have some surprise during there play through. Thanks for watching!
This was a Kickstarter game that closed in December 2018. It is now shipping to those backers. In January 2020, the Pledge Manager will reopen to anyone that previously pledged an amount. You may find the game on some vendor sites or contact Awaken Realms directly for an opportunity to purchase. (Though you may have to wait until after all add-ons are shipped late 2020, as they have yet to decide to release this game to retail)
Please took at the rule book for co op battles. Pretty sure everyone goes together, everyone gets hit. Cooperative Combat If a Party of more than one Character is present during Combat, the following applies: • At the start of the turn, each player draws 1 less card (but never less than 1). • Players construct their Combat Sequence together, playing their cards in any order. • Any cost of the played card needs to be paid by the player who plays the card. • Any damage or attacks apply to all players. • Tis means, the total damage scales up! Tis is balanced by the fact that the Party has more cards, more Attributes and more fexibility. • Resolve any counters only once - since they apply to the single Combat Sequence shared by all players.
No, that is not correct. Rule book states: The Party members decide who will be the next Active Character. They can select any Characters who have not been Activated this Combat Turn (they have no Time Token on their Character Tray). If the Party members can’t reach an unanimous decision, the Character with the lowest Character Number becomes Active. Place a Time Token on the Tray of the Character that became Active. It will remind you this Character cannot be Activated again until the next Turn - before then describing Character Activation and end of turn once all characters have been activated. I believe you are looking at an out of date pre release ruleset.
Ya, I think you are just looking at outdated rules. You can always see the latest official rule book and FAQ here: awakenrealms.com/download/ Thanks for watching!

25:50 So sad ! This is not the same time token. You could have spoken to the Lady of the Lake...

2:01:00 Diplomacy - The bonus symbol has to connect to get the bonus, not just have it on the card
that is correct
Thank you letting us know. We do fix this in our future episodes.

Haha we knew with having 2 decks that might happen, it is just crazy that we did not even notice that at the time.
Still love watching these videos years later for recaps of the story! :)
Are you all going to be playing Kings of Ruin?
Eventually. 😉
@@RobsGamingTable YAY!
Catching up on one of my favourite games, and later I plan on watvhing The Witcher playthrough, which is also a game I'm big into
1:24:43 You should place the magic you spent on the keys. Only keys you have paid for are connect. So that should have been 1.
That is a great idea and we will do that going forward. Thanks for the tip!

Awesome thanks for that. I can see this being helpful in later chapters.
At 51:00 it costs an energy to run from combat.
Also at 1:00:40 running from the Guardian, which technically I guess you could have spent the energy to run, then took the damage which would have amounted to the same thing. Just something to watch out for in future sessions.
Thank you for catching that. We do eventually figure out that we have been doing this wrong. I think we correct this in episode 5.
Chris, it's just being delivered from Kickstarter. Contact Awaken Realms for potential buy when the pledge manager reopens after shipping is complete.

That is one of the amazing things about this game there is so much to uncover it is impossible to do it in one play. We also really love this game ;)
3:02:00 u say if thia is discarded i get a terror. But then when ur turn is over and it got discarded where are the terror?
At 44:48 you forgot "the fall of chivalry" status.
Thank you! We added it to the sheet. :)

oh nevermind you mention it 5 mins later in the video. spoke too soon, my bad. :)
No worries, I don't think we utilized the trade option in the first few videos as much as we should have. We definitely see the value in it now!

Damage is only applied to the active player. Rule book pg 15, Combat Turn -> II. Character activation -> 3. Enemy attack -> First part.
